Unfortunately this will be our last post on this page as the crew of Sea Boss 😞 As we take her back to Fort Lauderdale we have been looking back on our time chartering around the BVI and Bahamas on this beautiful boat.

We are leaving the yachting industry after 8 years. It’s time to go to our home on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and manage our rental properties. We would love you to stay with us on our continuing journey at https://www.facebook.com/groups/stuandhannahscaribbeancharters/?ref=share_group_link We will continue our route back to FL and then will be posting recipes, crew confessions, throw backs and what we are up to in Scotland. Also we have lots of behind the scenes stories to share about our time chartering.

Today marks World Tourisim Day so we thought we would give you 3 facts about the British Virgin Islands.

1. The Baths, located on Virgin Gorda, is the most visited attraction in the BVI. This area is a collection of massive granite boulders….some are as large as 40ft in diameter and are surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches and rock pools.

2. The Callwood Rum Distillery, at Cane Garden Bay on Tortola, is one of the Caribbean's oldest continuous pot distilleries. The Callwood family still makes rum from pure cane juice the same way it was made four hundred years ago!

3 Anegada has an island made of conch shells! Fishermen have been harvesting the conch meat and throwing the shells back into the sea on the same area for hundreds of years. Today, the island is thought to be 12 feet tall at its highest point.

Captain Stu loves to catch dinner for our guests, whether it be lobster, mahi mahi or tuna…….so while at home in Scotland he has been out catching scallops for chef Hannah 😋

Chef Hannah can not wait to serve her homemade cheeseburgers on Sea Boss to all the lovely guests that have booked for the coming season. Of course with a bit of Jimmy Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise playing 🎶 🍔 🏖

We have been a bit quiet on here for a few weeks. This is because Captain Stu and Chef Hannah are taking a well deserved break from Sea Boss so they can recharge before another busy season begins. They are currently at their home in Scotland and enjoying lots of walks.
