Designed by Berret-Raccoupeau Yacht Design, the Lucia, built to replace the Lipari 41, was the entry-level catamaran to the Fountaine Pajot range at the time. The incorporation of many of the features of the larger models, the Lucia represents excellent value for money. Compared to the Lipari, has a larger cockpit, bigger windows, extra storage, and more living space!
The Lucia 40 is a good compromise between comfort and speed. The hulls are narrow and water-dynamic but wide enough to accommodate large cabins. All the running rigging runs straight to the cockpit, making it easy to sail short-handed. Boasting a lighter displacement (9.5 tons) than most in her class, coupled with 95 m² (1,023 ft²) of sail area, makes the Lucia 40 a nippy catamaran!
‘Nauti Dog’ is the very desirable MAESTRO three-cabin owner’s layout, where the primary cabin occupies the entire starboard hull, complimented with a full-size ensuite head and large shower. In addition, the current, original, owners have added memory foam mattress toppers to all the berths.
‘Nauti Dog’ has the added benefit of being in Horizon Yacht Charter’s prestigious charter fleet. As a result, the new owner will have the opportunity to make a return on their investment and a running head start through confirmed future charter bookings!
