Great day out on the water!

We have getting a lot of the same questions regarding our cruise ship private excursions, so I just want to break down some of the main questions to make things easier for everyone.

1. All charters are fully customizable, you can select one of our recommended charters or you can completely customize your own experience and we will guide you in the right direction to what’s realistic for your day with us out on the water. (See below for a few of our most popular recommended charters geared for Cruise ship guests.

2. Yes we can pick you up directly from your Cruise ship. There are private docks located next to where your ship docks that we can pick up at. Please note these is a fee associated with picking up from these docks that we will pay direct to the dock management office (We do not keep these fees.)

3. Yes we can provide just about any provisions you request to be on the boat when we pick you up. Our boats come with a cooler, bottled waters and ice. But we can purchase beers, sodas, seltzers, snacks and food and have it on the boat when we pick you up, we will provide a receipt from the grocery store for reimbursement.

4. Yes we recommend you book directly through our charter company vs an excursion via your ship. Your ship will generally recommend you to go on a group/shared excursion with a large amount of people. Or they will book you on a local private charter company they have a contract with and the price will increase 30-50% vs our direct pricing.

5. No, you will not miss your cruiseship departure if you book with a private charter company. In all the years we have had our company, we have never had a guest miss their departure time. In addition, if there was a mechanical issue on any of our vessels, the US Virgin Islands Charter Industry is a tight knit family and we would be sure your group was transferred to another vessel to return to your ship. It’s never happened, but we have the protocols in place if for this exact situation. You can feel safe and secure with us.

6. The weather forecast says it’s going to be raining all day in the USVI. Would we still go out if it’s storming? Safety is our number one priority, so if the weather conditions are unsafe for us to go out, we will cancel your charter with full refund. In the Virgin Islands it rains often, but it’s usually only for a short period of time, also we can reorganize the trips itinerary to avoid the rain and only focus on areas with sunny beautiful tropical Caribbean weather.

7. What do you need to bring? Basically just bring a towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses (a hat is optional). We will provide the rest.

Below are some of our favorite/recommended charter itineraries for cruise ship guests, but remember, all of our trips are fully customizable! Let us know what you are thinking and we will design the best day of your cruise!

Low Key Family Day

The morning begins at 9am departing from our dock or your hotel or cruiseship.
We will cruise out to Buck Island for a calm snorkeling experience over looking a sunken shipwreck. There are a lot of beautiful fish here and plenty of underwater scenery for all levels of snorkelers.
After we will turn up some easy going island tunes on the boats stereo and take an easy cruise across Pillsbury Sound to St John. Cruising along the north shore of St John and enjoying the beautiful national park views.
The next stop is Maho Bay to snorkel with turtles or relax on the beach Maho Beach.
For lunch we will head around the eastern tip of St. John (Hugging the boarder between the USVI and BVI) and come back west into Coral Bay for some tacos at Line Out, St John’s floating taco restaurant. Amazing food to be had and delicious adult beverages for the parents. Enjoy floating on the rafts or sitting at the swim-up bar, this is a must stop when on this side of St John.
After lunch and everyone is relaxed. We will cruise back west to Water Island for some beach time. The kids can play on the beach and the adults can lounge on a beach chair with a cocktail or float behind the boat in knee deep water enjoy the Virgin Islands 4th islands beautiful warm waters.
Around 3:30, anchors up, and we will head back to drop you off at your location of choice.

We provide all snorkeling gear, float noodles, our popular subwing, bottled waters and ice. (If you require any sodas, adult beverages, or snacks to be on the boat, please advise us at booking and we will be sure to have them in the boat when we pick you up.)

Family Adventure Day

The morning begins at 9am departing from our dock or your hotel or cruiseship.
We will cruise East over to Maho Bay to snorkel with turtles and after adults and kids alike will enjoying using our subwing.
After everyone is back on board we will head down to Thatch Cay for some cliff jumping. The jump is about 20’ and easy to climb up to for multiple leaps.
Next we will go up to Christmas Cove, Little St James & order some pizzas from Pizza Pi VI. The Virgin Islands floating pizza restaurant boat (With some pretty delicious pizza!). After lunch how about some shallow water snorkeling of a shipwreck?
For the remainder of the afternoon we can stay anchored, kids can jump off the boat while the adults sip on some beverages and float in the calm VI waters with a noodle (Your favorite tunes playing on our 12 speaker sound system, of course.)
Around 3:30 we will pull the anchor up and head back to the drop off location of your choice!
After an adventurous day like this, the kids will for sure sleep early that night!

St John Day

The morning begins at 9am departing from our dock or your hotel or cruiseship.
We will start the day heading east along the south side of St Thomas and across the Pillsbury Sound to St John.
We will continue along the north shore of St John stopping in quiet bays to view the sights of the beautiful national park with a stop in Maho Bay to swim with the turtles and the kids can use the subwing. When everyone has had their turns, we can proceed east up to Waterlemon Cay for some for the best reef that St John had to offer. It’s unbelievable, trust us!
After all this activity we will cruise down to Cruz Bay for Lunch at The Beach Bar. After which you can explore Cruz Bay for an hour or 2. Around 3pm we will jump back on the boat and head back to your ship!

Our favorite island in the British Virgin Islands is 100% Anegada. With a fulltime resident population of under 400 people (All amazing!) we love showing our guests this amazing island.
Summer charters here are the most realistic time to visit. Extremely calm summer seas make for an easy and enjoyable ride. 55 miles by boat from St. Thomas in summer season, we can do it in just over 2.5 hours. If you want to go during the winter months, please keep in mind that seas can be rough. Safety is our number one priority, so while we definitely will take the booking for a winter trip, if the weather and season conditions do not permit, we cannot provide the charter services there.
