Had the pleasure of taking my best buddy and deckhand Cameron’s parents out on a sunset tour of Christiansted Harbor during there visit. Put Jeff on his first tarpon! Great times all around!

Bull in the boat, next fish on over the shoulder, keeping an eye on the birds… there can be a lot of searching and waiting while offshore fishing. But when it goes down, there can be a lot going on! It’s those exciting moments that keep us coming back!

These fish never cease to amaze me. Things I’ve seen happen before, are just as mesmerizing as the first time. When I gaffed this mahi, he was green and gold, jet blue fins. Quickly turned blue, and switched between pale and brighter. As soon as I hand the fish to the man on the reel , it goes strait back to green and gold 🤷‍♂️ The things you see out there on the water 😳🥹

Wahoo Wednesday! (last Thursday) After sticking a couple skipjack trolling and on top waters, the trip was wrapping up. We decided to mix it up and deep drop for snapper, to fill the fridge for the rest of these guys week. With the boat stopped while I was prepping the bottom fishing gear, my deckhand was pulling in the last of the trolling lines. “There’s a wahoo following!” We quickly drop another bait back, put the boat in gear and game on! You never know what your going to find out there, but you’ll never find it if your not looking 👀 🎣
