Good morning from St. Croix! I escaped my Florida allergies this weekend to check out the new Villa Regina Bella nestled in the heart of downtown Frederiksted. To be sure, this lovingly restored historic mansion has been exactly what the doctor ordered! Stay tuned for a full review on all that makes Villa Regina Bella my new favorite STX hideaway coming soon!

Meanwhile, not all of my time has been spent ensconced in private villa splendor down in West, as anyone familiar with STX can surely recognize by this photo. That's me catching my breath after enjoying my favorite 4-mile morning run in St. Croix: Smuggler's Cove to Point Udall and back.

A post-run dip in those waters and some quiet reflection on the driftwood that always seems to be there is a fine reward for practicing a little fitness.

Yeah, feels great to be home.
