Even the taxis in Love City are special!

Open-air, safari-style shared taxis are available in town near the ferry dock, at major North Shore beaches, and at Serendip (must call to request, or flag one down on the main road).

Taxis are cash only. Fixed pricing is based on your destination is clearly posted, and a 20% tip in addition is customary. It's $7 per person from Cruz Bay to Serendip without luggage.

Despite available taxi service, to better control your schedule and to see more of the island, a car rental is suggested during at least part of your stay. Availability is limited, so book your car at the same time as flights and your Coral booking, and as soon as possible! Once you book, our concierge service will provide you with recommended car rental companies.

New(ish) restaurant alert! and STJ Speakeasy are the talk of the town for their innovative flavors, fresh fish, and overall amazing food, wine, cocktails, and service. Located in a cozy corner of the Lumberyard parking area overlooking Cruz Bay and the National Park docks, this is a must-get reservation for your next visit to St John! Open for dinner Tues-Fri.

It opened in the early summer as St John Hideaway, but recently changed names for legal reasons. Same great menu!

Coral's bedroom features a very comfy king bed, blackout and filtered light curtains, A/C, fan, smart TV, lamps with recharging ports, wooden hangers, bathrobes, a clothes steamer, and more!

🥬Josephine's Greens 🥬 You will see them on menus and in the supermarket, but did you know you can visit the farm and buy your organic greens, herbs, and more - directly! For something different, head out to Coral Bay to see the gardens and pick up your favorites!

My favorites are the mint (great in cocktails), the arugula, which is so peppery and amazing on eggs or pizza, and the sunflower sprouts which make everything look and taste better!

They also have a great selection of house plants and pots if you're local.

Last month, we saw multiple turtle nests along both the north and south shores of St John. Sea turtles lay eggs on the beach, and volunteers with the @friendsvinp turtle patrol help identify and protect the nests until the hatchlings are ready to emerge and make their way to the sea!
