I practice mindfulness, both in a group and on my own.
I must say that I have never before experienced a more meditative experience than I did while snorkling off the coast of St. John. I swam alongside schools of indigo and lemon-colored fish, next to beautiful varieties of coral and, most of all, conquered what was once a huge fear. Our boat captain told me to focus on my breath; to breath in for three and out for five; in those moments under the water, staring at the neon sea-life around me, I thought of nothing else. My mind did not wanderr; my anxieties did not plague me; I was at peace. I marveled at the beauty of the world around me and I was present.
"Just this moment, just this breath", as they say.

Good Monday morning! Our fundraiser for Tim Scott continues. Here is an updated list of raffle items. The drawing will be be held on Saturday, June 26 at 4pm at The Windmill Bar. We will also be live on Facebook with the crew from 90.9 FM Radio. 1 ticket for $25, or 5 for $100. Tim is making great progress, but he still has a long way to go and needs our support. Cheers!
