After evaluating more than 260 applications from 60 countries, the UNWTO has recognised Tra Que Vegetable Village with its Best Tourism Village award.

The award winners must have outstanding natural and cultural resources, along with taking innovative actions and commitments to tourism development in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Established 300 years ago and surrounded by the De Vong River, the first citizens of Tra Que made a living by fishing. Gradually, they started taking advantage of the riverโ€™s abundant seaweed to make fertilizer. Today, Tra Que Village is home to some 200 households growing organic vegetables & herbs for Hoi Anโ€™s restaurants.

Hoi An is one of Vietnam's food meccas, and Tra Que Village is the main contributor to this status. We can include this remarkable village in our itineraries to see why the UNWTO think so highly of it.

Ba Na Hills Resort with its Golden Hand's Bridge can be a Marmite/Vegemite visit. Love or hate, it attracts millions each year (an estimated 7.39 million visitors in 2023, with 1.98 million being international visitors).

Located high in the mountains west of Da Nang, it was recently voted as 'Asiaโ€™s Leading Theme Park'.

Holland America's 'Noordam' is set to explore Asia from September 2024 through April 2025 and will sail nine different 14-day itineraries that travel around Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Unusually, 'Noordam' will overnight in Da Nang. Arriving at 1pm and departing at 4pm the next day, it's meant a rethink of our normal full-day shore excursions - to ensure our guests experience all that central Vietnam has to offer

Studying finance & banking at Da Nang University, Man graduated with Honours and trained in international tourism with Australian based Intrepid Travel. Sang graduated with a BA(Hons) in English and trained as an English teacher in Da Nang.
