How to get here:
From
Hanoi (day bus):
- Take the local bus to Ha Giang in the morning (around 8 AM to 10 AM) at My Dinh bus station (costs about 190,000 VND), then alight at Viet Quang town. The journey will take about 5 to 6 hours, with one pit stop somewhere in the middle for a toilet break and some time for lunch.
- Take a picture of your bus ticket (showing the departure time from Hanoi) shortly after you leave Hanoi and send it to me so I can arrange for another local bus to bring you from Viet Quang town to Na Rang village (costs about 50,000 VND).
- If unsure, you can call me at +84 167 453 5268 and pass the phone to the bus driver bringing you to Ha Giang to make sure you alight at the right stop in Viet Quang town.
- The local bus will pick you up at Viet Quang town to bring you to Na Rang bus stop, where I or my grandpa will be waiting for your arrival :) This journey will take around 5 hours so try to visit the washroom before you board the bus! From Hanoi (night bus):
- Take the local bus to Ha Giang at night (around 8 PM to 9 PM) at My Dinh bus station (costs about 190,000 VND), then alight at Viet Quang town. It should arrive at Viet Quang town at around 2 to 3 AM. Note that unlike the day bus, the night bus will have no pit stop for a toilet break or a meal and will travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang all the way, only stopping for passengers to alight at their destinations. So try to visit the washroom before you board!
- If unsure, you can call me at +84 167 453 5268 and pass the phone to the bus driver bringing you to Ha Giang to make sure you alight at the right stop in Viet Quang town.
- Unfortunately, the local bus from Viet Quang town to Na Rang village does not operate that late into the night. You can stay at Kiki's hostel till morning and I will arrange for the local bus to pick you up at 12 noon and bring you to Na Rang village (costs about 60,000 VND), where I or my grandpa will be waiting for your arrival :) This journey will take about 5 hours so try to visit the washroom before you board!
