World Tourism Day is a global event held annually on September 27th with the purpose of raising international awareness about the role, the position and importance of tourism in cultural life, economic, social and political.
In 2023, “Tourism and Green Investing” is selected to become the World Tourism Day’s theme to emphasize the necessity of increasing investment in tourism towards sustainable growth and prosperity.
Supporting the World Tourism Day 2023, The United Nations recognizes the need for green investment to build a tourism industry that benefits people and the planet. On this occasion, the United Nations Secretary General called on Governments and businesses to increase investment in sustainable tourism activities. The private sector needs to follow a path to net zero emissions, reduce energy consumption and take advantage of renewable forms of energy.
This year, the World Tourism Day celebration will be held on September 27 in the capital Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
يوم السياحة العالمي هو حدث عالمي يقام سنويًا في 27 سبتمبر بهدف رفع الوعي الدولي حول دور ومكانة وأهمية السياحة في الحياة الثقافية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية.
وفي عام 2023، تم اختيار "السياحة والاستثمار الأخضر" ليكون شعار يوم السياحة العالمي للتأكيد على ضرورة زيادة الاستثمار في السياحة نحو النمو والازدهار المستدامين.
دعمًا ليوم السياحة العالمي 2023، تدرك الأمم المتحدة الحاجة إلى الاستثمار الأخضر لبناء صناعة سياحة تعود بالنفع على الناس والكوكب. وبهذه المناسبة، دعا الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة الحكومات والشركات إلى زيادة الاستثمار في أنشطة السياحة المستدامة. يحتاج القطاع الخاص إلى اتباع مسار يؤدي إلى صافي انبعاثات صفرية، وتقليل استهلاك الطاقة والاستفادة من أشكال الطاقة المتجددة.
وسيقام هذا العام الاحتفال بيوم السياحة العالمي يوم 27 سبتمبر في العاصمة الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
