The bamboo shoulder pole, quang ganh, has for long been a useful piece of equipment for Vietnamese farmers in the countryside to carry their produce and earn a living on the streets of cities, and is a familiar sight in the ancient town of Hoi An.

On the townโ€™s streets, visitors can often see women carrying a quang ganh on their shoulders and hawking their wares. They usually sell bananas, grilled corn, tofu, duckweed, pound cakes, and fresh flowers.The bamboo shoulder pole with baskets filled with agricultural produce and other wares could well be the leitmotif of Hoi An.

DA NANG INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS FESTIVAL 2025: DA NANG - THE NEW RISING ERA
โœ… The 16th fireworks festival will take place from May 31 to July 12.
The Da Nang International Firework Festival (DIFF 2025) will light up the sky in six nights and feature 10 teams for the first time.
This will also be the longest and biggest fireworks season in DIFF history, with 6 fireworks nights and the participation of 10 competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, England, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada and China.
Each competition night will be a vibrant live concert with the participation of famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music and modern technology, bringing visitors experiences beyond expectations.
DIFF has become an indispensable event every summer in the coastal city.

From Saturday night to Sunday morning, the temperature at the top of Fansipan Mount fluctuated between -1 degree Celsius and 0 degree Celsius, causing water condense into a thick layer of ice covering the walkway, railings, trees and grass on the top of the mountain at an altitude of 3,000m and higher.

Since then, the ice has been thick and showed no signs of melting.

This is the first frost to appear on the โ€˜Rooftop of Indochinaโ€™ in the first days this year, creating a beautiful scene only seen in the northern highlands of Viแป‡t Nam in deep winter.

For centuries, conical hats or Non la have symbolized Vietnamese women and the Vietnamese countryside, expressing the simple beauty of the countryโ€™s femininity and their hard work and love for their family. The hats were worn by women everywhere, not only to protect them from the sun and rain but also to enhance their beauty.
The most famous place for conical hat making in northern Vietnam is Chuong Village. The craft of making the Vietnamese traditional hat dates back three centuries in the village. Nowaday, not only for daily wear, Chuong villageโ€™s conical hats are even used for interior decoration in restaurants, hotels or resort locally and internationally.
Conical hats can be made by Chuong Villageโ€™s artisan all year round, but summer is the peak season. Chuong village conical hats are diverse in designs, helping to enhance the beauty and value of this traditional hat for women.
Thanks to efforts by Chuong village artisans, the craft of hat making will be preserved and passed down to the next generations.
