📍 NIGHT 1: ARRIVAL DATE - THON THA VILLAGE

• Please send us your bus information so that we can arrange the pick-up transfer for you. After getting off the sleeping bus, our driver will pick you up from Ha Giang (Cau Me bus station) to the homestay. Enjoy your free time walking around and learning about the local life.

• Overnight at a Tay ethnic house in Thon Tha village, 5km from Ha Giang city on the direction to Thanh Thuy border gate.

📍 DAY 1: THON THA – MEO VAC – MA PI LENG PASS – D**G VAN – 175km

• Drive to the peak of Ma Pi Leng Pass which gives stunning views of the mountains and sweeping valleys.

• On the way, stop to visit Heaven’s Gate, Yen Minh Peak before moving to Ma Pi Leng adventurous pass.

• If time is fit, you will have a chance to have a short hike on Skypath on Ma Pi Leng Mount to visit a White H’mong village there.

• Then check in at your hotel in D**g Van.

📍 DAY 2: D**G VAN – H’MONG KING PALACE – SUNG LA – NAM DAM - 100km

• Check out your hotel before breakfast.

• En route, stop to visit the palace of the H’mong king, which was a royal family of high rank during French colonial rule.

• Then visit Sung La village, which was chosen as the location for the award-winning movie Pao's Story. Since then Sung La has become a popular destination for travelers looking for something different and of course movie buffs. Because of the location, every black, stone house in the village is usually covered by white fog in the morning and the late afternoon.

• In the afternoon, pass by Trang Kim town to check in at your homestay in Nam Dam village, a traditional Coin Dao brick-roof house. Walk around the village in this late afternoon and prepare dinner with your homestay family tonight.

📍 DAY 3: NAM DAM – LUNG KHUY CAVE – THON THA – HA GIANG

• At 8:00 AM after breakfast, check out your homestay and visit Lung Khuy Cave which is one the newest caves, and has just been explored since 2015 in Ha Giang. In January 2016, they opened this cave to visit in which there is an amazing view with thousands of twinkle stalagmites and stalactites inside. After having a short walk uphill of 2km, visitors can get there. You will be lured into miracle landscapes along the way to get to the cave. Your tour guide will bring you back to Thon Tha to take your luggage before checking in on your bus to Hanoi.

• End of the tour after having dinner at your homestay in Thon Tha.

𝐊𝐡𝐞𝐧: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐇'𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞

“Khèn” is a traditional Vietnamese mouth organ, considered a symbol and soul of Mong ethnic culture. It is a bamboo panpipe with 6 to 12 pipes of different lengths, each with a free reed. The "Khèn" is played by blowing into the pipes, and can produce a wide range of sounds, from soft and gentle to loud and powerful.

For the Mong people, the Khen is the connection between the physical world and the spiritual world, playing “Khèn” is the way they showing their feeling, tell their stories and express their expectations for the future.

SUNDAY MARKET IN D**G VAN - YESD TRAVEL

D**g Van Sunday Market is a unique and vibrant cultural experience in the remote northern highlands of Vietnam. Held every Sunday, the market is a gathering place for people from all walks of life, including members of the Hmong, Tay, Nung, and Hoa ethnic groups.

SẺ CHIA HẠNH PHÚC TỚI HỌC SINH VÙNG CAO - YESD CHARITY 2023

YESD Social Enterprise chuyên về phát triển du lịch trách nhiệm nhằm thay đổi cuộc sống của người dân, nhất là các bạn trẻ tại các sâu vùng xa. Như đào tạo tiếng Anh, kỹ năng mềm trong ngành Hospitality and Tourism, YESD Social Enterprise cũng trích từ mỗi khách 2$ để đưa vào quỹ phát triển cộng đồng. Ngoài ra chúng tôi có các chương trình hợp tác với Ủy Bân Châu Âu trong các chủ đề dự án khác nhau. Cùng chung mục tiêu khi thành lập, tạo ra một nơi tốt đẹp hơn để sống và tham quan. Và từ thiện cũng là một phần trong các hoạt động của YESD.

* Điểm trường Tiểu học và Mầm non Xéo Xà Lủng thuộc xã Pải Lủng, huyện Mèo Vạc, Ha Giang có hai lớp tiểu học và 2 lớp mầm non. Tổng sổ học sinh tại điểm trường này là 71 em, 100% là người đồng bào dân tộc Hmong. Trường Phổ Thông Dân Tộc Tiểu Học và Trung Học Cơ Sở Bán Trú Pải Lủng cách điểm trường 8km, với tổng số hơn 500 em học sinh. Đời sống còn rất nhiều thiếu thốn về cái ăn, cái mặc. Tiếng Việt thì bập bõm.

Trong một lần đi khảo sát từ thiện, đại diện YESD có gặp các em tại điểm trường và trao quà đồ dùng học tập nho nhỏ từ một mạnh thường quân Việt Kiều. Cuộc sống của các em ở đây đặc biệt khó khăn, về cái ăn cái mặc, thuốc men. Nhân cũng có một khoản tiền từ thiện từ Mạnh thường quân, Việt kiều Mỹ là 10,000,000vnd. YESD sẽ dành số tiền này mua bình lọc nước nóng lạnh để các cô giáo pha mỳ cho các em vào mùa đông. Hay các em có nước ấm dùng để phòng lúc trời quá lạnh. Số tiền còn lại sẽ dùng để mua thực phẩm theo như gợi ý từ cô giáo tại điểm trường: Như mỳ tôm, sữa cho các em.

Hiện tại YESD Social Enterprise kêu gọi quyên góp các đồ dùng dưới đây: trước mắt cho điểm trường này, nếu nhận được nhiều hơn, YESD Social Enterprise sẽ gửi tới điểm trường chính:

1. Đồ chơi cho các em (hợp lứa tuổi, ko nhận súng nhựa hay đồ mang tính chất bạo lực) Vui lòng làm sạch trước khi gửi ạ. Vì cho đi là còn mãi.
2. Đồ dùng học tập: Hộp bút, cặp sách, loại nhỏ thôi ạ. Các cháu hơi nhỏ so với học sinh ở đồng bằng.
3. Quần áo đồng phục, áo khoác mùa đông cho các em, ủng đi mưa và tất loại cho trẻ em: KHÔNG nhận quần áo cũ vì đồng bào ở đây không mặc quần áo đã qua sử dụng của người ngoài. Họ sợ quần áo của người đã mất.
4. Thực phẩm: Mỳ tôm và sữa. Trong trường hợp không có đủ phương tiện vận chuyển từ dưới lên. Xin quy đổi ra tiền để đóng góp cho các em.
LƯU Ý: Sữa dùng cho trẻ em. mỳ tôm hoặc cháo ăn liền, hoặc tốt hơn là mỳ gạo.
5. Bình đựng nước, sách truyện, đồ tập tô, bút màu, bút chì, cục tẩy, flashcard tiếng Việt.
6. Bát nhựa ăn cơm, thìa xúc. (Xin thêm thôi ạ, các em ở gần sẽ tự về nhà, các em ở xa sẽ ở lại ăn mèn mén nước canh có khi nước sôi, thì thìa là hữu dụng nhất ạ).

Our Story

YESD (Youth Employment and Society Development) is a social enterprise, founded by three friends: Tuoi, Trang and Tuyet. We were brought together by our common passion to help local communities and to provide authentic responsible tourism experiences in northern Vietnam. We have been carrying out tourism projects in various remote areas in northern Vietnam since 2014, providing communities with education and career development in the tourism industry. YESD assist homestay owners in managing their business, train local guides, provide English classes and organise development projects that benefit the wider community. Our dedication to supporting the local community allows us to provide authentic, professional and memorable tours to you!

YESD’s mission is to increase employment for underprivileged youth in the tourism sector and promote responsible tourism. We do this by educating a new generation of tour guides and increasing the skills of indigenous people. Our students are trained in many areas, from Vietnamese history to the fundamentals of responsible tourism. We teach them the steps needed to protect the environment and preserve their culture and traditions. We also instil in them a passion for passing along their knowledge and cultural sensitivities to international visitors, enriching their experience.
