Da Lat and Lan Ha Bay: in top 18 most underrated destinations in Asia yet make you hungry for more

(TITC) - USA’s CNN Travel listed their top 18 most Asia’s underestimated travel destinations but actually a treasure to dig deeper and eager for more. Da Lat and Lan Ha Bay of Vietnam are in the list.
Asia boasts more than 40 countries, it’s not impossible for travellers to find places that come to their liking. From Angkor Wat in Cambodia to Taj Mahal in India or the hustle and bustle cities of Tokyo, Japan or Hong Kong. Fancying beaches? There is Bali, Phuket, etc. However, Asia is such a mystery gem of the world which hides many beautiful places, where there are less-crowded, equally-rewarding treasures to be found.

Da Lat
Da Lat is the capital city of Lam D**g Province, Vietnam. Da Lat is the City of Flowers and honeymooners with lovely French-style villas, the fresh air, the beautiful waterfalls and gorgeous lakes sits in a lush and green valley of postcard beauty. Da Lat is well-known among locals but not yet international visitors, stated CNNTravel. The city has fresh mountain air, cool weather and pine forests in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. What else? A romantic walk around Xuan Huong Lake, or challenging yourself at the "Crazy House," the Seussian creation of architect Đặng Việt Nga, with its twisting stairwells and whimsical sculptures, all of which make visitors enjoy. There are also waterfalls and vibrant flower gardens for visitors to discover.

Lan Ha Bay
Ha Long Bay is no stranger to travel lovers around the world. However, its neighbour - Lan Ha Bay (to the south of Ha Long Bay) owns a strange charm which surely can draw more visitors to ply the waters with less populated. According to CNNTravel, Lan Ha Bay is a stretch of shimmering water broken up by limestone (karst) islands that can be enjoyed by day trip (kayak, canoe) or overnight (cruise ship, junk boat).

Visitors can easily reach Lan Ha Bay by bus from Ha Noi or Hai Phong. Swap a refreshment from Cat Ba Island to Lan Ha Bay, why not?!

HCM City named among top places to go in Asia in 2023: US magazine.

Ho Chi Minh City has been listed among the leading places to visit in Asia for 2023, as compiled by magazine Fodor’s Travel of the United States.
According to details given by the magazine, as the centre of the Vietnamese economy and the country’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh City offers plenty to see and eat, ranging from the buzzing District 1 with its cultural attractions to delicious street food found in District 4.

It noted that the southern city consists of a number of preserved historical sites, including the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, which was originally built by French colonialists in the late 1800s, and Cu Chi Tunnels, a series of tunnels built by local residents and soldiers using simple tools from 1946 to 1968 as shelters from US and Saigon troops during the war. This is along with the War Remnants Museum, which contains machines and other artifacts used during the conflict.

“In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City’s burgeoning food and drink scene has begun drawing visitors to stylish rooftop bars and street-side cocktail carts alike,” says Fodor’s Travel.

The magazine also suggested that visitors should sample the delicious banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich, a popular street food that can be found at every street, as well as experiencing the coffee culture found on Saigon’s sidewalks or from vendors’ tricycles.

“Browse the wares and snacks at Ben Thanh Market, walk along the Saigon River - or take a nighttime cruise for a chance to see the city in a different light,” it added.

Rounding off the list of top places to go in Asia is Ayutthaya of Thailand, Bangladesh, Madhya Pradesh of India, Palawan of the Philippines, and Si Phan Don of Laos.
