The Japanese Covered Bridge in Hoi An was built in 1593 by the Japanese community in the town. It was constructed to connect the Japanese and Chinese quarters, and it also served as a symbolic structure to ensure harmony between the two communities. Over time, it became one of Hoi An's most iconic landmarks.
