CAMBODIA 🇰🇭 BEAUTIFUL BAYON TEMPLE IN SIEM REAP PROVINCE, KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA 🇰🇭:

At Angkor Thom, Bayon, the central temple, is the largest with several smaller temple around it. Its tower has four faces looking East ,North, and south, suggesting that Buddha, Buddhissattava or the king himself is looking out and overseeing all four corners of the world. The colossal images of Lokeshvara in four different directions at the entrance of Bayon are designed to demonstrate compassion and power of the Buddhisattiva and the king.
As King Cambodian (Khmer) Jayavarman VII was a Buddhist, he broke with Khmer traditions of Hinduism and adopted as his deity a Buddhist Bodhisattva. Hinduism was the state religion when king Jayavarman VII ascended the throne although Buddhism had prospered until then throughout Indo-China.

🇻🇳🇻🇳The Temple of Literature - A Symbol of Learning and Culture in Hanoi

Van Mieu, literally translated as Temple of Literature, is a temple dedicated to Confucius in Hanoi, northern Vietnam. The temple was built in 1070 at the time of Emperor Lý Thánh Tông, and it hosted the Imperial Academy, Vietnam's first national university, from 1076 to 1779.

The Van Mieu is one of several temples in Vietnam which is dedicated to Confucius, sages, and scholars. The temple is located to the south of the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long. The various pavilions, halls, statues, and stelae of doctors are places where offering ceremonies, study sessions, and the strict exams of the Đại Việt took place. The temple is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese đồng banknote. Just before the Tết Vietnamese New Year celebration, calligraphists will assemble outside the temple and write wishes in Chữ Hán. The art works are given away as gifts or are used as home decorations for special occasions.

Independence Monument📍Phnom Penh, Cambodia 🇰🇭

The Independence Monument (Khmer: វិមានឯករាជ្យ [ʋimiən ʔaekariəc]) in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, stands on a roundabout in the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city.

Independence Monument, or Vimean Ekareach as it is referred to in Khmer, is a majestic structure that dominates Phnom Penh city centre. Independence Monument was primarily erected to mark the liberation of the country from the French, who ruled Cambodia for almost a century from 1863 to 1953.

Built in 1958, and inaugurated in 1962 during the regime of Sangkum Reastr, this monument also serves as a proud testament to commemorate people who sacrificed their lives for the welfare of the country. The monument is captivating for its cool, serene atmosphere, which in turn makes it a much sought-after destination.

🇰🇭 | Phimeanakas Temple
📍 Siem Reap, Cambodia

Phimeanakas (Khmer: ប្រាសាទភិមានអាកាស, Prasat Phimean Akas, 'celestial temple') or Vimeanakas (Khmer: ប្រាសាទវិមានអាកាស, Prasat Vimean Akas) at Angkor, Cambodia, is a Hindu temple in the Khleang style, built at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of Rajendravarman (from 941 to 968), then completed by Suryavarman I in the shape of a three tier pyramid as a Hindu temple. On top of the pyramid there was a tower, while on the edge of top platform there are galleries. Phimeanakas is located inside the walled enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom north of Baphuon.

🇱🇦 | Beautiful morning scenery from Vang Vieng, Laos.

Vang Vieng (Lao: ວັງວຽງ, pronounced [wáŋ wía̯ŋ]) is a town in the Vientiane Province in Laos. It is popular with tourists, seeking adventure sports as well as its karst topography. It is on the Nam Song River, 130km north of Vientiane (2 hours by car or bus).

During the wet season, the river can be a series of rapids.

Other activities include trekking and rock climbing in the limestone mountains. There are also numerous caves, such as Tham Phu Kham half an hour north of Vang Vieng by tuk-tuk or the Tham Non and Tham Jang caves closer to Vang Vieng.

A market five kilometres north of town sells Lao textiles, household items, and foodstuffs. The town is on the main north–south highway, Route 13 from Luang Prabang to the capital, Vientiane. It is about eight hours by bus to Luang Prabang and four hours to Vientiane (152 km).

Just a short walk from town are many ethnic Lao, Kmou, and Hmong villages, while Vang Vieng Organic Farm is around 4 km north of the town in the village of Phoudindaeng. There are opportunities for community involvement such as teaching, while it is also possible to stay in a house made of mud bricks at the organic farm.

🇰🇭Bayon-Temple of the mysterious stone face towers

At the heart of Angkor Thom is the 12th-century Bayon, the mesmerising, if slightly mind-bending, state temple of Jayavarman VII. It epitomises the creative genius and inflated ego of Cambodia’s most celebrated king. Its 54 Gothic towers are decorated with 216 gargantuan smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara, and it is adorned with 1.2km of extraordinary bas-reliefs incorporating more than 11,000 figures.

The Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom.

Originally constructed in 1428 during the reign of Emperor Ly Thai To, B**h D**g Pagoda used to be a small pagoda nestled in Ngu Nhac Mountain.

In 1705, two Buddhist monks named Tri Kien and Tri The discovered this pagoda and re-constructed it into three levels: Lower Pagoda (Ha Pagoda), Middle Pagoda (Trung Pagoda), and Upper Pagoda (Thuong Pagoda).

In 1774, Lord Trinh Sam of Dang Ngoai (Outer Land) visited the pagoda and was impressed by the breathtaking panoramic view of nature there. The pagoda caught his attention, and he named it B**h D**g (Green Pearl Cave) Pagoda.

B**h D**g Pagoda is open year-round for visitors to explore. If you plan to visit this pagoda as well as other tourist attractions in Ninh Binh, the ideal time to travel is either from April to June or during the last three months of the year, from October to December. For those looking to see the pagoda in spring, the first three months of the year, from January to March, are the most suitable.

Visiting the temple, it is essential to wear appropriate and respectful clothing. Avoid revealing clothes.

As B**h D**g Pagoda is situated on high ground, be prepared for a fair amount of walking and consider wearing a comfortable pair of shoes for mobility.

The famous Japanese bridge in Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳

Japanese Bridge is a footbridge with a temple atop, located in Hội An, Quảng Nam Province, Vietnam. It dates from the late 16th century by Japanese merchantmen.

From the outside, the bridge stands out thanks to its soft curved roof supported by a wooden structure system, and the foundation is made of stone pillar arches. The pagoda and bridge are both made of lacquered wood, meticulously carved, with the pagoda's face facing the river bank, creating a breathtaking view from outside.
