We toured with AVT's CEO Thien, starting in Hanoi and working our way to the Mekong Delta, with many stops on the way. Honestly, didn't know what to expect from Vietnam as this was our first trip to Asia. However, with Thien's guidance we had a travel experience that ranks as one of our all time favourites! We don't typically travel to see beaches (although Vietnam has no shortage, and Ha Long Bay is stunning) but rather to experience the country, it's people, and it's history. On September 16, at the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago have been recognized by UNESCO as the World's natural heritage with a total area of 770.7 km, including stunning 1,163 islands and a water basin.

Earlier, the Cat Ba archipelago had been recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve in 2004 and Ha Long Bay in neighboring Quang Ninh Province was named by UNESCO as a world heritage site twice in 1994 and 2000.

Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago were added to the World Heritage List due to the beauty of its natural landscapes, including charming vegetation-covered limestone islands, breathtaking limestone islets, and impressive incredible karst formations with the hidden charm of Caves.

So proud of these values of aesthetics, geology, geomorphology, typical ecosystems, species, culture, and history have been recognized and recorded worldwide.

Amazing News!!!

Today 15th August 2023, the Vietnam government has officially approved free 45-day visas for tourists from Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Spain, Russia, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland...Also remaining 30 days of free Visa for 8 ASEAN countries,21 days for Philipino, and 14 days for Brunei.

In addition, all other countries will get E-visa to Vietnam for up to 90 days with multiple entries.

During their visa validity, foreigners can arrive and leave Viet Nam several times, without applying for a new visa, allowing visitors multiple entries, effective from August 15, 2023.

Ayutthaya , a UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1991, is a city away about 80 kilometers north of Bangkok.
