Cuc Phuong National Park is home of varies of strange flora and fauna. Especially it is enjoyable to touch the thousand-year-old cho xanh (parashrea stellata) and sau (Dracontomelum Duperranum or Dancorra Edulis) trees, 50-70m high. The park is also suitable to watch birds, butterflies and orchid flowers.

Phat Diem Cathedral is a solemn and interesting architectural complex, reflecting the skilful and excellent stone carving art of the Vietnamese workers.
Ninh Binh's people have created such famous and traditional products as Kim Son's fine arts, Hoa Lu's high-class embroidery, hanger products and rocky sculpture products for export, Gia Vien's rattan and bamboo knitting products, etc.

Chieng Xuan Commune features fields of white mustard flowers that bloom in early December. The area, about 30 kilometers from Moc Chau center, is accessible via rugged roads, making motorbikes or off-road vehicles ideal for the journey.

From National Highway 6, visitors can take the route through the pine forest, Coc Town, and Chieng Xuan Commune, covering about 15 kilometers, though the path is challenging.

Alternatively, they can follow the route through Dai Yem Waterfall, Chieng Ve Farm, Chieng Son Border Post, and Chieng Xuan Commune, which spans 30 kilometers. While longer, this route is easier to travel.

Moc Chau tea hills

Located 2 kilometers from Moc Chau Farm Town, the tea hills span over 4,000 hectares and feature 60-year-old Shan Tuyet tea plants.

From December to February, tea branches are pruned, giving the hills a green appearance that looks like a vast carpet.
The tea hills, often covered in morning mist, offer free entry, allowing visitors to explore by motorbike and take photos. Visitors can purchase tea as souvenirs, such as Snow Shan Tea and Oolong Tea, priced from a few hundred thousand to several million d**g per kilogram. (VND1 million = US$39)

Moc Chau is about 200 km from Hanoi, with a travel time of 4–5 hours. For motorbike travelers, the old National Highway 6 route is recommended for its scenic views. Alternatively, visitors can take a bus to Son La from My Dinh or Yen Nghia bus stations, get off at Moc Chau, and rent a motorbike to explore the tourist spots.

In December, Moc Chau's average temperature ranges from 15–17 degrees Celsius.

Northern Vietnam province among world’s 71 most beautiful places
U.K.-based magazine Condé Nast Traveller has included Hoa Binh Province in northern Vietnam on its list of the world’s 71 most beautiful places, praising its tranquil landscapes and rich cultural diversity.
"Hoa Binh Province in the north of the country is home to ethnic minorities as well as endless rice fields," the magazine wrote.

The list was curated by travel editors based on their experiences, spotlighting destinations renowned for their ancient history, warm hospitality, and delectable cuisine.

Hoa Binh serves as the gateway to Vietnam's northwest region, captivating visitors with its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage.

In Mai Chau District, Ban Lac is known for its lush rice fields surrounded by verdant mountains. From September to late October, the rice fields turn a golden hue, creating an ideal setting for tourists.

Ban Lac is also famous for its hundreds of traditional stilt houses, some nearly 700 years old, nestled in the white mist of the green hills.

Visitors can savor a variety of mountain specialties, including bamboo rice, grilled chicken, grilled fish, sticky rice, and wild vegetables, which are commonly served at local eateries.

Other destinations featured on the list include Bali Island in Indonesia, Zhangye National Geopark in China, Bayon Temple in Cambodia, Jodhpur City in India, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

Cambodia lowers e-visa prices for tourists
The Cambodian government decided to reduce e-visa fees for tourists and businesses or ordinary people from January 2025.
It said in a news release on Dec. 28 that the fee for tourist type (e-visa T) would be slashed to $30 from the current $36 while that for regular type (e-visa E) would be lowered to $35 from the current $42.

The move aimed to attract more tourists and investors to the Southeast Asian country.

Cambodia is expected to welcome around 6.7 million foreign visitors and 22 million domestic tourists this year, surpassing the numbers recorded before the Covid pandemic in 2019.

Tourism is one of four pillars supporting Cambodia's economy, in addition to garment, footwear and travel goods export, agriculture, and construction and real estate.

I booked two day tours with this company, both were fun. The prices are reasonable, cheaper than booking through a hotel/hostel. Booking a tour was very easy. Both Hazel and Jenny helped me go through the best option for me. They both speak English and are funny. I would book through them again if I am in Hanoi.
