Hang En Cave Adventure
The journey 2 days 1 night Hang En Adventure brings customers to the fairyland in the Hollywood movie (Pan: The Neverland 2015), and where ABC News made the live broadcast for Good Morning America program. Hang En cave is part of the famous Son Doong expedition tour.

Day 1: PHONG NHA - BAN DOONG VILLAGE - HANG EN CAVE

You need to come to Phong Nha before 6:00am on the morning of the cave adventure departure. Please avoid being late for the departure time of this adventure trip to Hang En.

On the morning of the departure, the car will come to pick you up at your hotel in Phong Nha from 7:30 to 8:00 am, and bring you to the office. There you will listen to the safety briefing, sign the release form, pack your bag and receive the necessary safety equipment.

After departing from Phong Nha office, the group starts with a jungle trek, hiking down a steep hill to reach a branch of the Rao Thuong Stream leading to the only village located in the core zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

After about 1 and a half hours of walking and wading through streams, the group will arrive at Doong Village - the home of the minority ethnic community living deep in the jungle. The group will stop for lunch at the village and learn about the life of the people here before continuing the trek to Hang En camp. Continuing walking through the jungle, crossing the river many times, the group will reach Hang En after about 3 hours. There everyone will be equipped with helmets, turn on the headlamps and start climbing the rocky section to explore the cave. Standing on the top of the rocky slope, you will see the entire Hang En Cave camp and the mesmerizing surrounding scenery. After receiving your tent, you can enjoy swimming in the turquoise lake next to the camp, before enjoying delicious food right in the cave. That’s the first camping day!

Day 2: HANG EN - PHONG NHA

After breakfast, the group continues, climbing up the rocks behind the camp in a cave, exploring and learning more interesting facts of nature's masterpiece in Quang Binh Province, and admiring the stalagmites and stalactites. At the back of the cave, a new view of the Hang En campsite opens up. Save some precious memories of this unique place.

After wading through the underground streams you will reach the large sandy floor of the gigantic cave exit. The group will return through the cave to the underground camp to have lunch and a short break. The group will then leave the cave, for the final challenge of wading through many streams and climbing a steep hill around 450m high. At the top of the hill is the road and a bus with cold beverages ready to welcome you back after all the challenges in your caving adventure to discover the wonderful Hang En.

The bus will take the group back to Phong Nha at about 18:00.

Minimum age: 15 years old

Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hang Over cave – hang Pygmy. Distance: 11km

8:00 Starting picking up in Phong Nha area to transfer to the headquarters for safety briefing

9:00 After the briefing, we will make the 45min-1 hour ride in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to the trailhead.

10:00 Arrive at the start point of the train and we will exit the road and begin the jungle hike. While walking through the jungle on a small trail with challenging terrains, our guide will teach you about some local plant life, maybe feed you some tasty treats the jungle has to offer and show you some pieces of the minority people’s (the Ruc Ca Roong) culture -the Jungle people who survive off of the jungle resources.

12:00 Reach the top of Wind peak where you can get breezing fresh air. Lunch will be at this peak.

12:30 Keep walking mainly down hill toward Eel fish Slope “Dốc Lươn” which ia quite steep and slippery.

14:00 Arrive at Dốc Lươn for a short break before passing this slope to head to hang Over cave

14:30 Arrive at the entrance of hang Over cave. Gear up to start exploring this 3,2m-long cave. Hang Over begins with a long narrow shaft with various cave formations, growing in size and beauty with each step. Eventually, the team will reach a massive grotto names Massive Attack, filled with amazing stalagmites and stalactites, speleothems (decorations), and beautiful pools. Here in the grotto the guide will choose an appropriate location for lunch. After eating some cucumber salad and other snacks next to some amazing cave features you will proceed to the exit of Hang Over

16:00 Exit hang Over cave to reach the doline between hang Over and hang Pygmy. Hang Over and Hang Pygmy was once one large cave that experienced a ceiling collapse, creating 2 caves and a healthy unique jungle inside the cave system! After making the short jungle climb through the doline (the collapse) you will come to the massive chamber of Hang Pygmy. Here our guide and porter team will equip you with appropriate abseiling safety gear, brief you on safety procedures, and rig your harness with a fail safe system. Taking turns, one by one everyone in the company will descend into the bottom of the cavern, an 80 meter descent, with 10 meters done via abseiling. Once everyone is safely on the floor of the chamber the group will make a short walk, and turn the corner to the MASSIVE cathedral like entrance of Hang Pygmy.

17:00 Arrive at the main entrance of Pygmy cave, the fourth largest cave in the world where you will set up the campsite at the mouth of the cave. While you are exploring this massive cave, our team of porters will prepare a hardy Vietnamese meal with rice, veggies, soup, and meat. Oh, and customary of Vietnamese culture, rice wine will be included, Cheers!; “Mot Hi Ba Zo!”

18:30 – 21:30 Dinner at the campsite, chill and share story

21:30 Bed time

Day 2: Hang Pygmy – jungle trekking – Road 20 Victory – Phong Nha. Distance 9km

8:00 Breakfast at hang Pygmy then wrap up!

9:30 Say goodbye to Pygmy for the jungle trek.

Start trekking out of hang Pygmy entrance to reach different valleys and mountains

This will be a long trek out of the jungle with difficult terrain

10:30 Arrive a “Doc Co” known as grass slope which is quite slippery and steep hill. This hill will kill a lot of energy.

If it rains, you may have chance to see some water falls on the way

12:00 Some snack lunch will be provided during the trek

14:00 Arrive at the road to enjoy cold drink before the van arrive and transfer you back to Jungle Boss headquarter.

15:00 Arrive at headquarter, clean up. Finish the journey

Super smooth transfers from our hotel in Hanoi was a good start. We were met at the boat checkin by Mr Son. This guy is so professional and made sure all of our boat trip ran perfectly. The activities were great and the food delicious.

I did Paradise Cave and then Phong Nha on dragon boat, traveling as a solo woman who is deaf and hard of hearing Our guide was above and beyond spectacular. I worried about whether or not I would enjoy the guided tour due to not hearing the guide but his English was quite good. My auto-captioning app that I used (Apple live transcribe on my iPhone) was really good at picking up what he was saying.

The Paradise Cave part is a self-guided tour. We had 1h20m to walk around by ourselves.

On the dragonboat tour, I was able to leave my hearing aid in the entire time as there is very minimal splashing except with the other boats get close to you (just cover your ears!)

The guide also wore my Resound mini-mic which helped a lot! I had a sprained ankle that I got before the tour and he checked in on me frequently. He is also great at taking photos and knows how to frame the shot to make you look good and also get the background beauty.

In Phong Nha, they have photographers that you can pay to follow you around and take photos of you. My guide was able to facilitate translation to ensure that I got the photos, and gave me his WhatsApp number, just in case. He then followed up with me several days after the tour ended to check if I got my photos. Overall I had an amazing time and would happily recommend this tour to others, including solo female travelers and those who are Deaf/HoH.

這是第一次透過Tripadvisor訂製行程, 和他們說好需求(包含想住的下龍灣郵輪, 到目的地想做的事情), 他們會直接安排好六天五夜行程給我們看, 清楚寫明包哪一餐, 接著我們雙方再進行溝通, 我和我十五年的好友玩得非常快樂非常開心！永生難忘！🥹😊🥰

前期溝通是和Daisy拉群一問一答, 回覆訊息的速度很快, 有問必答, 也會提供解決方案。在旅程途中, 也有Local guide Sam在群裡為我們回答問題, 並且熱心的推薦當地食物以及購物的地方, 基本上是非常安心的一趟旅程。

最後建議的部分, 行程說明的部分大致上很完美, 若可以再更詳細能讓旅客更有安全感, 例如: 可以讓我們知道在下龍灣郵輪上的行程有哪些, 我們比較好準備衣服; 車子轉乘上可能可以再更清楚告知 （從沙貝回河內的車, 我們沒有清楚知道是小巴還是臥鋪巴士, 花了一些時間確認）

不過以上都是雞蛋裡挑骨頭, 也是因為小小的不確定性, 讓我和我的朋友整趟旅途都有小驚喜, 我們玩得非常開心～～價格也合理！非常推薦大家和tripadvisor客製化北越行程喔🫶🏻🫶🏻👯‍♀️

Daisy 和Sam能夠為我們精心客製化行程，包含
1.配合我們想住的飯店、找我們想睡的臥鋪巴士
2.在Sapa的導遊熱情款待我們，看到村莊裡的學校，吃著黑苗族家常菜，讓我們體驗傳統黑苗族服飾，是我一輩子都難忘的回憶
3.Sam 也會隨時關心我們，幫我們安排飯店暫放行李，讓我們可以輕鬆逛街、吃飯

其中有三點在事前沒有溝通清楚，不過無傷大雅
1.從Sapa回河內的車子，我們以為也是臥鋪巴士（跟從河內去Sapa一樣），結果是保姆車（豪華廂型車）
2.承上一點，我們和一群西班牙團客拼車，車上也有他們的導遊，原本看Google map開車5小時～6小時可以抵達河內市區，但是因為中間停了一個購物景點，大約50分鐘，抵達河內已經9:00pm,共開了8個小時
3.在sapa trekking 的行程，前往當地導遊的家，沿路說著步行30分鐘就到，但是總共走了接近4小時，建議可以提前告知，下次想前往的旅客可以考慮要步行多久，配合體力是否搭乘計程車
4.番西邦行程非常豐富，我們只有被保留一個早上遊玩，時間比較緊迫，但也可能我們沒事前做好功課，應該加緊腳步把握時間

Hang Tối có gì vui??? / "What's fun in Dark Cave?"

🔥One of the best things I’ve done in Vietnam ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had an incredible experience here, it’s one of the best things I did in Vietnam. You zipwire to the dark cave, then swim in the most beautiful blue water, swim through some of the dark cave then have a mud bath in it, in a spot a bit later. There’s then kayaking, lots of fun water activities and a great lunch. We had such a good tour guide who was really informative and fun too. Because a lot of this was water based I didn’t get many pics, but a few people bought their go pro and got great vids. I couldn’t recommend this more and am glad I stopped at D**g hoi for this.

Had a wonderful trip with young kids. Sapa is very scenic, local guide was amazing and took us to customised trek based on our abilities.
Visited Fanispan next day - fantastic experience - not to be missed.
Daisy and Sam organised the trip and were on constant contact to make sure that there is no difficulty during the trip.
We would definitely do Vietnam again - only to spend more time in Sa Pa.

Hue is renowned for its street food culture so is a must do for any visitor. Our tour guide John did an excellent job of introducing us to all the wonderful dishes we tasted and was very responsive to our needs. And of course our cyclo drivers were very skilled at negotiating the crazy Hue traffic . Another “must have” experience! Thankyou to a great crew and “Chook Mung Nam Moi”! (Happy Lunar New Year)
