5 TIPS TO APPLY FOR VIETNAM EVISA

✅ Tip 1: Apply for your evisa as soon as possible. Preferably apply at least 2 or 3 weeks before your expected flight date, which allows you some time to correct mistakes if any.

If you have entered everything correctly on the eVisa Application Form, it usually takes 3-5 working days (excluding Sat, Sun and Public Holidays) to get your eVisa approved.

✅ Tip 2: Apply for eVisa first BEFORE you book your flight.

You can miss your flight ticket due to the delay of your eVisa process, so to avoid this problem you should confirm your flight after your e-visa is issued.

✅ Tip 3: Apply for the maximum allowed period which is 90 days visa. It does not need to be your actual duration of stay in Vietnam

Whether you apply for 5 days, 10 days or 30 days or 90 days the Evisa fee is the same , so you should apply for the maximum days allowed.

✅ Tip 4: Your actual travel date must be within the eVisa validity dates.

The entry date of your eVisa does not need to be the date of your flight. It can be earlier than your actual flight date. And, you have to leave on or before the exit date on your eVisa

TYPE OF 3 MONTH VIETNAM E-VISAS

In Vietnam, 3-month visas are categorized into 2 types including single-entry and multiple-entry visa.

🟡 Single entry visa (3 months)

A single entry visa is a kind of visa that is valid for 3 months (90 days) and only allows a single entry to Vietnam. [DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A VIETNAM E-VISA AND A VISA APPROVAL LETTER]

You have to apply for both the Vietnam e-Visa for Vietnam and a Visa Approval Letter online. However, the two are not the same thing.

📌The Vietnam e-Visa is an actual visa. You receive it online, print it, present it before the Immigration Officers in Vietnam, and then you will be allowed to enter the country. You do not have to queue up at a visa-issuing counter and get a visa stamped on your passport – the eVisa is all you need.

📌 The Visa Approval Letter is a document that you have to get from the Vietnamese Immigration Department before you travel to Vietnam and apply for a Visa On Arrival (VOA). You cannot enter the country with just a Visa Approval Letter. You have to queue up at the visa-issuing counters at the airport in Vietnam and get the VOA stamped on your passport before you can clear immigration and enter the country.
