ITINERARY:
NIGHT 0: Hanoi - Sapa by train or bus overnight
DAY 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B-L-D)
06:30 – Welcomed by the tour guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai station before boarding the shared bus to Sapa. The trip up to Sapa takes a little over an hour and will give you your first glimpse of the stunning scenery and impressive rice terraces.
When arriving at your hotel in Sapa, check in early if a room is available, otherwise, temporarily, you will be given the basic room to refresh yourself before breakfast.
09:30 – Start the day with a 6km walk southeast of Sapa along the Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black Hmong people. After that, you will continue to walk another 3 km down to Lao Chai village. Stop in the village for lunch. After lunch, continue walking through terraced fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay people. This hike is relatively easy although the path can be quite slippery if it rains. For that reason, good footwear is recommended.
15:00 – Return to Sapa by shared bus and check in to the hotel. After that, you will have free time to explore Sapa town, especially the market with all kinds of colorful handicrafts.

After 15 minutes by cable car, you continue to climb 604 steps to reach Fansipan peak. Please take pictures to save this memorable moment.
Then you return to the cable car station to move down.

In the past the market was a center for trading horses but now motorbikes have replaced them. It is more common to see buffalo, cows, goats, fish and others.

13:30 – Trekking to Ban Pho village of the Flower H’Mong people, to see their house, the daily life, understand more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade corn wine. Driving back to Sapa, 110 km in about 3 hours ride. En-route, stop to see Trung Do village of the Tay people (if time permits).
16:30 – Arrival in Lao Cai , the bus stops at the restaurant, you wait at the restaurant then the sleeper bus picks you up and returns to Hanoi

The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, and will give you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces as you make this short trip.
Once arriving in the hotel in Sapa, an early check in follows if room is available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for your refreshment, before enjoying breakfast prior to going on the morning tour.
08:30 – Start your tour with 6km of walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H’mong people. Then continue with a 3km-trek down to Lao Chai village. Here we will stop for a simple lunch before exploring the village. 15:00 – Return to Sapa by shared tourist bus and check in to your hotel. You will then have free time to explore the town, especially its market with all the colorful handicrafts, and interact with the locals.

DAY 2: Cat Cat & Sin Chai
7:30 - Have breakfast at the restaurant.
8:30 – We begin our next day of adventures, that will take in exploring the villages which are located in a little bit further to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) including a visit to Cat Cat village, home of the ‘Black H’mong’ people. This trek offers some stunning views of a picturesque waterfall and the vestige of a hydro- electric power station which was built in the early 20th century. Here you can also see the local villagers working in the paddy rice fields, watch their children playing as only rural kid can, and get close up to animal such as water-buffaloes, pot-bellied pigs and chickens and taking pictures. Enjoy your lunch and the mountainous scenery.
Later, we continue to hike to Sin Chai village (3km) situated at the base of Fansipan Mountain, (which is also well-known as ‘the roof of Vietnam and Indochina’). Here you will see stunning landscape in every direction and more photo opportunities before heading back to Sapa town.

NIGHT 2: Overnight at hotel in Sapa
DAY 3: Bac Ha market (on Sunday only)
Located 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha is famous for its Sunday market which is a trading centre and meeting place for couples, friends, and relatives, of at least 8 ethnic groups every Sunday from 09:00 until 14:00. This visit offers the travelers a great opportunity to witness a diverse range of lifestyles, dress, life attitudes and living conditions as you move among the hill-tribes people as they go about their market life, and enjoy the scenery and backdrop of this spectacular mountainous region. Take the opportunity to get up close and personal with the children, families and witness their cultural interactions. Enjoy lunch with the locals before taking on the afternoon activity.
The afternoon continues the adventure, as we go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho village, which is well- known as the home of the flower H’Mong minority people. Here you will be invited to enter several local houses, and enjoy some green tea, corn wine, and listen to the host sharing about their family and their daily life. Look as you listen, there is so much to see!
After the visit, say goodbye to the locals and enjoy the landscapes to Bac Ha, before returning to Lao Cai and wait for the bus go back to Hanoi.

ITINERARY: 3-DAY TREK (HOMESTAY & HOTEL) by OVERNIGHT BUS/TRAIN

NIGHT 0: Hanoi – Sapa by train or overnight bus
DAY 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa
06:30 – Be greeted by our tour guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai train station, before being transferred to Sapa village, by a shared tourist bus. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, and will give you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces as you make this short trip.
07:30 – Once arriving in the hotel in Sapa, an early check in follows if room is available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for your refreshment, before enjoying breakfast prior to going on the morning tour.
09:30 – Start your tour with 6km of walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H’mong people. Then continue with a 3km-trek down to Lao Chai village. Here we will stop for a simple lunch before exploring the village. After lunch, continue trekking through terraced rice fields to Ta Van, village of the Dzay minority people. This trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be quite slippery if it rains, so good footwear is recommended.

NIGHT 1: Overnight homestay in Ta Van
DAY 02: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa
7:00 – Have breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 – 08:30 – After having had a restful night and enjoyable breakfast, it is time to take an 8 km walk to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao people, the H’mong who are located in Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan villages. Situated at the edge of Muong Hoa Valley, Giang Ta Chai is gaining popularity as one of the most scenic and interesting locations for visitors who enjoy experiencing the colorful traditional customs and costumes that are always on show here. While Supan is considered as a less travelled and more withdrawn village because of its small population base.
There are breath taking and beautiful landscapes throughout this mountainous area, including a stunning waterfall, rattan bridges, and some exquisite ferns and orchids that drape from the overhanging branches of so much lush vegetation. After Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan visits, it is hard to have to leave this area, but we again have opportunity to do more exploration in Sapa town, so the bus ride allows some recovery time... and lots of photos and stories will no doubt be told on the brief ride back.
15:30 – Tour ends at around. Overnight in Sapa.
NIGHT 2: Overnight at hotel in Sapa
DAY 03: Cat Cat & Sin Chai
09:00 – We start explore the village a little bit further to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. This trek offers some stunning views of the waterfall and the vestige of a hydro- electric power station which was built in the early 20th century. 12:00 – Enjoy lunch then rest at the local restaurant
Later, continuing to hike to Sin Chai village (3km) that situated on the bottom of Fansipan Mountain, also well-known as ‘the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. There you will enjoy huge stunning and sleeping landscape before heading off to Sapa town.
14:00 – Take a bus ride to return to Sapa
14:30 – Enjoy your free time in Sapa for refreshment.
15:00 – 15:30 – Catch a bus to travel back to Hanoi.
21:00 – Arrive in Hanoi. The tour ends
