NEW 2021 Residence Visa

This new residence visa is for work visa holders in New Zealand.
On 29th September 2021, you must:

1) Have lived in NZ for the last 3 years
OR
2)Get paid $27+ per hour
OR
3)Work in an area of skill shortage

You only need to meet 1 of the 3 requirements.

If you meet the requirements, you could get residence in less than 12 months.

The DEADLINE to apply is 31 July 2022

There are two start dates for applying for the visa:
Group 1 = 1 December 2021
Group 2 = 1 March 2022

Notice for work visa holders in New Zealand!

New Zealand's median wage is changing to $27.00 in about July 2021. When that happens, if you're paid under $27.00 per hour, you can only apply for a 6-month visa.

Good opportunities for electricians to work in New Zealand when borders open. Average pay is $25.00 - $40.00 per hour. Electricians are on New Zealand's Long Term Skill Shortage list and there are pathways for electricians to get residence and PR.

If you have a job offer from a New Zealand company, you may be eligible for an Essential Skills work visa. Your visa would be valid for 1-3 years and allow you to work in New Zealand for a specific employer.

Are you working in New Zealand and being paid $25.00+ per hour?

AND

Are you a native English speaker or can you score 6.5+ IELTS?

If so, you may qualify for the Skilled Migrant Category. You will be required to score 160 points from factors such as qualifications, employment and work experience. You will also need to meet health and character requirements. If your application is accepted, you will gain residency in New Zealand.
