Last night was a rainy one, and on the family dinner’s menu were vegan spring rolls. The traditional pork and shrimp toppings were replaced with fragrant lemongrass shrooms and crispy fried tofu, loaded with fresh herbs, accompanied by a delectable hoisin peanut dipping sauce, washed down with a cold beer (or an old fashioned for our bougier friends). We couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a cozy rainy night in.

“What was your design inspo?”

Everything and nothing. I didn’t have any specific artistic influences. I’m not a designer and have no experience in design. But I take inspiration from anything. From people, from places, from local experiences and even from feelings.

I’ve been a digital nomad for years and have traveled a lot. I’ve made connections globally. I left London years ago but here you will find industrial design imprints often seen there. I balanced that by keeping the space open-plan, light and airy with minimal furnishing. The smaller details are modern and thought-provoking. Finally, I brought it all together by paying homage to earth tones often seen in Vietnam, such as wood, stone and marble. So what’s the style here? Modern, minimal, industrial and earthy. Can they coexist? I think so.

I want guests to feel both comfortable and inspired while they are here. Believe in your dreams, build a community for you to thrive in and create the life you want to live.

/vietnamese below/

On a fateful night six years ago, two young(ish) fools met at a hostel in Madrid. They spent the entire night talking. They talked about their goals, their inspirations, their favourite recent experiences, their most cherished memories and what they thought life might look like five years from then. Despite both being focussed on their careers at the time, they found commonality in the desire to be free, to travel and to build community worldwide. As the clock approached 5am and bed-time was calling, one said to the other, “Hey, you would make a really great hostel owner.”

That casual comment sparked a fire that never blew out, and, six years on, in the heart of Saigon, they have brought their project to life.

---

Anything but common!

Instead of a noisy rest stop in the center of the city, TCRP is located in a peaceful alley on Nguyen Trai Street, District 5 (a few minutes from the center) where you can explore and experience the local scene while enjoying all the amenities from home. TCRP will be the warmhearted highlight in your journey.

The 48 beds in 4 different-style dorms welcome travelers from the loners, to traveling lovers and groups of friends. We also have private rooms that rival any nice hotel, with service second to none.

Staying at TCRP, you cannot ignore the rooftop bar. Not too noisy, it is a space for you to chill out with your new friends here, with a pint of beer and observe a peaceful corner of this busy city. And this rooftop also become a private place for your special celebrations whenever you want.

We believe that a home cannot be a real home without any common activities between the family's members. We have games, musical instruments, cards, TV and comfy lounges for you to use and enjoy. You can choose to have our wonderful, nightly dinners with both local and Western food, with folks from around the world to enjoy and share your experiences with, or learn how to cook true Vietnamese dishes in our cooking classes.
