An unforgettable and delicious tour with the best guides!

This was an absolute highlight of our trip! The team is so professional, warm, friendly, and truly makes you feel special. Their expert navigation of the streets of Saigon allow for you to marvel at the different districts all while feeling comfortable on the back of the motorbike. I especially appreciated that this tour is more than just food. Our leader, Vy, shared many facts and figures about the city as well as the history of many of the districts. All of the dishes were so delicious and not the traditional items you read about, making the culinary portion unique. My driver, Ngoc, was the best part! She was engaging, charismatic, and treated me so well. I cannot wait to do this tour again when I return to Saigon!

Saigon by Night tour was the highlight of our 2 week trip in Vietnam. We had read reviews and thought the tour sounded good but it was far better than we were expecting. Our guides, Hao, Lam, Ngan and Huie were so much fun. Their local knowledge, excitement to teach us about their culture, excellent English language and thirst for learning about our culture was wonderful. We felt very safe on the back of their scooters even in the busy Saigon streets. We enjoyed walking through the market and learning about the varieties of fruits, vegetables, meats etc. We had a delicious meal and really enjoyed visiting Aunty Mai's home in a poorer District that tourists don't generally get to see. To learn about her family life and see her home was very humbling. Then a stop for dessert before heading back to the hotel. It was a perfect mix of food and culture and sightseeing. Would highly recommend.

Amazing tour with XO Girls

We just returned from our two weeks holiday in Vietnam where we had the utmost pleasure to have booked a „Saigon by Night“ Tour with XO Tours. We were two families and truly enjoyed every minute of the thrilling ride at the back of the XO Girls’ scooters. The ride was pure fun … and most important we always felt super safe! We were picked up by the XO Girls at our hotel and after a quick tour and safety briefing, the amazing fun started. Passing by a market, riding along large avenues and narrow alleys, the XO Girls pointed out the different aspects that make Saigon such a captivating city. We stopped at a Streetfood stall where we had the best streetfood during our whole trip through Vietnam. The food was so yummy and delicious. The memorable highlight was visiting an old residential area which was really touching and where we and our children learned that life is only about being happy with what you have and not about complaining. Many thanks to all XO Girls Uyên, Vy7, Ai, Ha, Han2, Thao6, Nghi & Ngan. With your extraordinary enthusiasm you made this evening really special and truly memorable!

A Great Night in Saigon

Wow! Just wow!

We were in Saigon for 2 nights, and we wanted to see as much of the city as possible in that time, so we decided to go on a food tour. There are many different tours to choose from, and most are cheaper than this one - but it is 1000% worth every single penny.

We were picked up at our hotel by our hosts, Mai and Chi, and by the end of the night, I felt like they were my best friends. They were funny, engaging, entertaining, and spoke perfect English. They were very knowledgeable and, most importantly, drove very safely. I felt at ease the entire time, while on the motor bikes.

Before this tour, we had spent just under 3 months in Vietnam, so we weren't interested in a tour that was going to have us try typical Vietnamese food, and this tour had us tasting things we never heard of - and all were absolutely delicious. We are not big seafood eaters, but loved everything we tried. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the Vietnamese culture.

Riding on a motorbike throughout Saigon was also a blast. We covered so much ground and learned so much. It was great to see so many different districts. Had we not done this tour, we probably wouldn't have seen much more than districts 1 and 2, and the city is so much more than that.

Lastly, a special shoutout to Lucy who was the group guide. She was an amazing guide who educated us on so many interesting parts of this great country. I feel so fortunate to have had the experience we did. It's something we'll be talking about for years to come.

A do not miss experience!

This was a fantastic tour! The main guide, Lucy, and our personal guides/drivers Noc and Thao, were terrific in every way -- warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and fun. We felt we saw a Saigon that we would never have discovered without XO tours. The food was delicious as well! But most important were the people. These young women were great, smart, engaging company. We're 65 years old and never been on motorbikes, they took good care of us -- you're never too old!

Best food tour in Saigon!

This tour was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Saigon (and perhaps all of Vietnam). Usually we are not ones for organized large-group tours, as we try and travel off-the-beaten-path, but this exceeded all of our expectations (and was only 10-15 people or so)! The drivers and guides are super energetic and welcoming, and do a great job of keeping you entertained during and in between food stops (and speak excellent English). It goes without saying that the food was incredible - we visited three different restaurants that we'd never have picked out by ourselves. There was noodle soup, BBQ and seafood stops. If you want a stress-free experience of motorbiking in Vietnam this is the way to do it!

Excellent experience - would highly recommend!

This tour was recommend to us by multiple people who had been to Saigon in the past few years and it still exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed it! While we were initially a bit daunted by the idea of travelling on mopeds through Saigon, we were quickly put at ease by how professional, safety-conscious, and skilled our drivers, Mai and Thow, were and we’re so glad we got to experience it.

All the food we ate was very tasty and flavoursome and we loved that we got to try things that many tourists don’t try such as bun bo hue, barbecue goat, street seafood (clams, crab, prawns) etc. We particularly loved the seafood in District 5 (we would have never known about this street full of seafood and snail restaurants, packed with locals, if it hadn’t been for the tour) that we went back for dinner there the next night for more seafood and snails!

Our lead guide V was extremely welcoming and enthusiastic and we had lots of fun and felt very comfortable with our drivers/guides Mai and Thow. We learnt so much about life in Saigon both from V and our general conversations with Mai and Thow, and were so pleased we got to learn about and see more areas outside of the touristy District 1.

Although this trip is a bit more expensive than a lot of other experiences in Vietnam (SE Asia), we would highly recommend it for delicious food and a unique insight into life in Saigon!

Fantastic experience all around with XO tours and a highlight of my trip to Vietnam!

I went on a 14 people private foodie tour where the entire group with varying level of adventurousness and dietary restrictions - all enjoyed their experiences. Really appreciate the thoughtfulness and details XO tours put into the planning that made everything feel so organized. Starting at time of booking XO tours was incredibly responsive in communicating out the details. Throughout the tour we had the extra "security" staff to take pictures and help with the logistics / inspect food safety. All of the food we had from Bun Bo Hue to BBQ to seafood were delicious. All of us felt really pampered with the XO ladies helping to prepare the food including helping to crack the crab legs.

I enjoyed the foodie tour so much that I booked a solo Saigon at Night tour for the next day and also really enjoyed my experience. There was less food (one stop for street food and one stop for dessert) with more emphasis on learning about the daily lives / culture.

Both trips were incredibly fun! The XO ladies were all great drivers and I felt very safe riding a motorbike for the first time. Everyone spoke English very well and it really felt like going around the city with new friends!

“I just wanted to say what an incredible tour we had last night with Vy as tour leader and Rosie and Thanh as the drivers for me and my companion Edward!

We both agreed our XO tours experience was one of our top travel experiences ever!

The food stops were fantastic and thoughtfully chosen to show us dishes that we were less familiar with, and the ability to see different districts not just the cleaned up tourist areas were really special.

The commentary shared by Vy about the changing economy and what life is like for everyday Vietnamese people is Saigon was the type of insight that we as travellers are really interested in but can be hard to find out unless we know someone local.

Plus, Rosie and Thanh were wonderful drivers, and were so friendly and fun to chat to. The food and the tour destinations were fantastic but it was Vy, Rosie and Thanh that made the trip extra special for us.

We can only speak for ourselves but the other members of the tour also looked like they had a great time.

Congratulations on creating such a great experience and finding such great XO ladies to represent the brand. We only have glowing reviews and are so excited to tell our friends and family in Australia about how much fun we had with XO Tours.

Hopefully we can do another one soon!”

This was an amazing evening, we were collected promptly from our hotel by three ladies dressed in traditional Vietnamese’s the ao da on 3 modern scooters. After a short briefing on safety and fitting our helmets we zipped off to our first stop about 10 minutes away.

We stopped at 5 different locations for food and had a brief walk around the food market in Chinatown to see many of the ingredients in the things we would be eating. We were offered beer at 3 of the stops, additional or different food was offered if you did not like something and we were more than full at the end of the evening.

This was much more than just a food tour. All our drivers kept up a flow of information and chatted as we moved between food stops and I felt we got a good feeling about what it is like to live in Saigon. Tour Leader Uyen Nguyen shared some insightful observations about the Challenges to the people living in different districts we visited.

This is a great way to get to know many of the different districts in the city and try out food the locals eat in the way the locals eat it. I would highly recommend it.

We were recommended XO Tours as a "must do" by our friends who had visited Ho Chi Minh City a few years ago.. and they were absolutely right! We were a little nervous as it was near the end of our trip to Vietnam and we had experienced the organised chaos that is their traffic, but we had not been so brave to go on a scooter/moped ourselves. Well we shouldn't have worried as the ladies of XO are absolute experts. Beyond their great driving skills they made sure we were comfortable and also that we had a great time! Our drivers Nga & Anh along with our host Hong were absolutely sensational. It was so much fun learning about their lives in Vietnam, the local culture and how Vietnam is changing. A special thanks to Nga who also accommodated me (with ease) as I'm larger than the average tourist at 6ft4 / 194cm!

All that without evening mentioning the amazing food and variety of places our guides took us to. It was a fantastic selection covering traditional food from the North to South Vietnam, away from the touristy centre and they even accommodated dietary restrictions. I must say the food we ate was easily some of the best of our whole trip. To break the evening up and give us time to digest there were some side trips and entertaining games which were really appreciated - and this comes from someone who doesn't always enjoy those kinds of things.

In short, if you are in Ho Chi Minh City just book this tour, or any of their tours, or all of their tours. I'm positive you won't find a better organised tour, so you won't be disappointed!

Highlight of our trip!

XO was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint.

The booking process was straightforward and efficient and the tour itself was informative, safe, well run and highly professional. To top it all off the food was amazing.

You get a 1:1 service from your English speaking driver pointing out all the sights on your route and they take you to areas of the city and restaurants it is unlikely you would visit as a tourist. Riding around the city on the back of a scooter is a great way to see things and a fantastic experience.

The team was very careful to take care of my partners food allergies and made sure there was a suitable alternative for him. You will definitely not go away hungry...the scallops were to die for!!

At first the tour seemed expensive compared to what we had been paying for tourist attractions and food elsewhere in the country but it was absolutely worth every penny and the highlight of our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia! We would not hesitate to recommend V and her first class team of girls!

Wow. Great experience. The girls were friendly and informative. We went to a variety of places covering 5 districts. We saw a traditional market as well as one of the premier residential areas which gave a wide perspective on the City as opposed to the central districts. Whilst the tour is more expensive than many advertised the quality of the itinerary, the information from the moped girls and the fact they are escorted by 2 security people means this tour is worth every penny. They also sent us various photographs and videos of our trip. Finally we were a group of 8 so definitely a small group tour.

This is by far the best food tour I have ever taken, and I have taken quite a few around the world. The women who drive you from stop to stop really go above and beyond to ensure that you have an excellent experience, feel comfortable and safe as a passenger on their motorbike, learn a lot about the city of Saigon and Vietnamese culture, and try different and unique Vietnamese Cuisine.

You’ll see parts of the city that you likely wouldn’t go to on your own, try delicious new Vietnamese dishes (I discovered new favorites I didn’t know about) and learn about the city and the people who live there. This was an experience I’ll always remember and would highly recommend you consider it as well.

A thrilling, eye-opening, delicious and super personal adventure. If you only do one tour do this.

Summed up in a few words, it was a thrilling, eye-opening, delicious and super personal adventure.

At the end of our 10 day family trip in Vietnam everyone was unanimous that this was the most enjoyed activity of the entire time.

If you want to feel like you're part of Saigon / Ho Chi Minh, taste some great dishes and see less explored parts of the city this is the tour to take.

Our family of 5 (from 16-65 in age) took to mopeds with these amazing young women and flew through the streets of Saigon. We soaked up the organised chaos of Saigon traffic, exploring 5 different districts and experiencing the food, culture and colour of Saigon by night. Our guides, Vy 2 and the rest of the girls, made us feel immediately welcome and cared for. The ride on the back of their scooters was thrilling but we always felt safe too. The girls were warm, witty, intelligent and brilliant at introducing us to new places, foods and gave us some real insight into the daily customs and life of Saigon locals. We took a private tour and it was worth every penny. Just do it! I'd give it six stars if I could.

Do you agree with Tripadvisor that Hanoi is the best food destination in the world?

Hanoi may boast about its culinary excellence, but Saigon is dishing out some serious competition for that title. At XO Tours, we're placing our bets on Saigon for the ultimate culinary adventure! We believe Saigon's cuisine offers more diverse flavors, since the warmer climate allows it to produce more types of vegetables, and herbs. Moreover, southern food has a sweeter taste compared to the north, which we absolutely adore!

What's your take? Explore the pros and cons of dining in Hanoi through the link below and decide for yourself!"

Hanoi was recently voted by Tripadvisor as the number one food destination in the world for 2024, beating cities perhaps even more synonymous with delightful food such as Rome (2nd) and Paris (11th).

5 stars 😍 It's worth every penny.

I live in HCMC and have never done a tour. My friends who visited me have done several other motorbike tours. I have always watched this tour as it is female owned and love supporting businesses that are not traditionally owned in a male dominated business world in Asia.

When I arrived to visit over the holidays I decided to do a tour with him. After hearing from my other friends and seeing their pictures I decided to go with XO Tours even if it was more expensive.

As they say, if it is good then it's worth the money. You get what you pay for. This tour is amazing. You feel safe especially if you have kids. You feel like you are part of a group and have a wide range of experience to see all parts of HCMC on a bike.

My driver Trang 2 and my son's driver Quynh were amazing. Spoke great English. Got my shy teenager to actually talk to them and he thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I can express I will always tell my friends and families when they visit that it's worth every penny.

My enchanting night out with angels.

Crossing the notorious streets of HCMC, these XO Girls were on our left and right, shielding us with their bodies and outstretched arms, I felt at that very moment, I was surrounded by angels in Ao Dai.

Meandering through the crazy traffic, the ride is exhilarating to be sure yet never a moment unsafe. They are quite expert in their riding skills, after all, they were piggybacking their parents on a bike since young. They know the streets by the back of their wings.

I am still amazed at how fast humans and angels from different worlds can connect so deeply in just 3 hours. We shared life stories, aspirations, favorite movies, travel tales all on a bike while whizzing across districts. They somehow got my 2 introverted teenage sons chatting in no time.

Tables are reserved well in advanced while we busied ourselves on the tour. At the dinner table, these young women would skillfully wrap up our rolls and before I even chomped them up without looking, they kindly reminded me not to swallow the toothpick that was holding my food together.

If you have concerns about helmet hygiene, they assured me that helmets are sanitized after every trip and deep cleaned weekly.

My buddy angel aka team leader, Thao, speaks wonderful English, is well educated, refreshingly knowledgeable, bubbly and fun. Her tour was well paced, informative, insightful and stimulating because we were pop quizzed all the time. Such talents you would not normally find in a guide, unless you happened to be in an XO tour.

A truly unforgettable adventure.

An unusual in a fantastic way food tour!

This was such an unusual (in a fantastic way) food tour. You explore Saigon by night (5 districts) with knowledgeable, friendly and very driven women.

The tour was more than the food which was phenomenal. It was a brief and frank exploration of Vietnamese society in Saigon. You learn about the joys and the hardships people like the tour guides live through.

We asked so many questions and learnt so much from these ladies.
Also they take photos during the tour so you don’t need to pull out your phone and send photos directly to your email and they don’t spam you with photos of everyone else in the tour, they go through the trouble of selecting the photos relevant to you and your group. This was very thoughtful and genius!

If you’re reading this and have not booked your trip, I recommend doing this tour in the middle or end of your trip because you won’t be struggling with jet lag and travel fatigue. For us, it was our last day in Vietnam and we were fully adjusted and took every advantage of the food, the scooter ride and the tour leader’s expertise and knowledge. We had a blast.

The greatest experience of a 4 week asia trip!

Highly recommend the food tour, we had an amazing time, with amazing people and amazing food! We tried many unique tasty foods in 3 different locations, while visiting so many other unique spots in Saigon.
I appricate them skipping very well know food like Pho, Bahn Mi, etc. which gave us more chance to experience new foods we have never had before.

Both me and my gf were not accosumted to riding on the back of a scooter and also not the traffic of SEA. We were a bit scared in the beginning, but our drivers always asked us if everything was alright and I heard they would also slow down, if you were not comfortable.
The whole first 20min of the tour will forever be etched into my brain. Before we started, they provided us with some rain coats as it was look as if it would start raining. It started pouring shortly afterwards, most rain that week. Everything felt a bit like a dream: Getting accostumed to driving on the back of a scooter, surrounded by the other scooters and cars, rain making the vision blurry. After 10min I got over my initial fear and also didn't mind the rain anymore. It was exhilarating. Everytime we would stop, I would look forward to getting back on the scooter and back on the road.

All the people from the tour were super nice, very attentive, sharing the intereting facts with a no-nonsense attitude (e.g. they didn't shy away of explaining us the different economic realities of different districts). The main tour guide also shared a touching personal story of her dream. I wish her and all the other women all the best. The concept of a women-led women-only scooter tour group is awesome. I hope it'll help everyone gain more financial independence.

All in all, amazing experience, next time we are in Saigon, we will definitly do it again and check out the other tours they provide.
