HOW SAPA (VIET NAM) AIRPORT WILL LOOK LIKE IN 2026

The airport is located in Cam Con commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, next to Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, 30 km from Lao Cai city and 60 km from Sa Pa town.

The project will be implemented in 2 phases. The total land area used is 371 hectares, of which phase 1 is 295.2 hectares and phase 2 is 75.8 hectares.

After completing phase 1, this airport meets level 4C airport standards (according to standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization) and is a level II military airport, with a capacity of 1.5 million passengers every year.

Phase 2 of construction and investment from 2028 will complete items to increase capacity to 3 million passengers per year.

The project is expected to be inaugurated in 2026.

1️⃣ Lim Festival
Held on the 13th day of the 1st month (lunar calendar), the Lim festival in Bac Ninh Province (North) is one of the Vietnamese festivals take place in the spring.
2️⃣ Xến Xó Phốn
Xến Xó Phốn is a rain praying festival. Celebrated in the fourth month of the lunar calendar, the rain praying festival will take place in the beautiful Mai Chau valley of the Thai ethnic group, a local ethnic minority group.
3️⃣ Wandering Souls Day or Ghost Festival
This festival is also called the Vu Lan Rite (to show filial piety to parents). Taking place on the 15th day of the seventh month, Vietnamese families will prepare food and clothes to welcome the spirits of their ancestors back home
4️⃣ Mid-Autumn Festival

Here, you can freely immerse yourself in the crystal-clear water or trek up to the summit of Titop Island, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bay with a 360-degree perspective.
16:30 Guests can enjoy afternoon tea on the sundeck while admiring the most beautiful spots of Halong Bay during the return journey of the cruise. These include Heaven's Gate, Dog Stone Islet, Incense Burner Islet, and Fighting C**k Islet.
17:30 The cruise ship docks at the port, marking the end of the journey exploring Halong Bay with Day Cruise.

Day 4: Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City – by flight
Pick up and transfer to the airport for morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, we will pick up and we start our visit:
• The Reunification Palace: This is one of the most important buildings in the city.
• Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture.
• Cholon, including the Thien Hau Pagoda: Cholon actually means Big Market – a claim that is well justified as Vietnam 's largest market, the Binh Tay, is located here.
• Ben Thanh Market: This bustling and well-organized market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnels – Mekong Delta
07:00 Our guide will pick you up and transfer to the Cu Chi Tunnels (75 km from downtown). Visit Cu Chi tunnels with watching documentary film, witness hand–made weapon gallery (gun, land mine, bamboo traps,…), crawl into the real tunnels,…
Leave Ho Chi Minh city, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand–rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Have a short cycling tour then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by the locals. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through fruit plantations and villages. Then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh city – Departure
Pick up and transfer to the airport for your flight back home. End of serivces.
