🌍 Important Travel Update: New E-Visa System for Laos! 🇱🇦

Starting January 1, 2025, foreign citizens (non-Thai nationals) will need to apply for an electronic visa (e-visa) to enter Laos. The Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane will exclusively process visa applications online for all stays up to 60 days.

Here are the key changes:
✔️ Apply and pay online in Thai Baht.
✔️ In-person applications are accepted only until November 20th, 2024.
✔️ Processing will take 10-15 working days.
✔️ No visa processing between December 21st-31st, as the system transitions.
✔️ Lao nationals remain exempt from the visa requirement for stays under 60 days. 🌟

🌧️ Chiang Mai Flood Recovery Update 🌧️

Chiang Mai is recovering from recent flooding, with key areas like Tha Pae Road and Warorot Market affected. As of October 9, 2024, waters have begun receding, and cleanup is underway.

🚉 Train services have resumed, but some roads and hotels near the river, like Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, are still undergoing repairs and remain closed until October 31, and is not accepting new bookings for November and December​.

Check conditions before visiting, as some accommodations may still be impacted.
