Glorious weather, great people, awesome riding. Thanks, Ride Dive Expeditions for choosing us again to ride, this time through the stunning North of Vietnam.

Here are just a few shots of our tour.

The tour began in Hanoi and took us deep into the Tonkinese Alps, where we saw lots of different ethnic hill tribes, as well as ascending the highest road in Vietnam. We embarked on a remote road from Hanoi, that took us deep through rice-terraced valleys on isolate road past high mountains and old forests, finishing 6 days later at the Sapa hill station with its trekking options and friendly Dao and H’mong people. The route was a mix between off-piste and sealed roads, spectacular and rewarding.

Rally Indochina 2023 was a stunning success. The Rally trailblazed a new route into far north Vietnam and raised over US$37,000 for the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation.

We rode on remote, stunning roads through mountains covered with lovely rice terraces past picturesque hill tribe villages where local people tilled their fields.

We spent three days in the UNESCO-protected D**g Van Geo Park, where dramatic limestone karst mountains are home to many hill tribe people.

Over 40 hill-tribe kids at a small kindergarten that the Rally directly funds welcomed rally attendees as they arrived right up against the Chinese border. As we played, danced, and conversed with locals, we gained a thorough understanding of how Blue Dragon Children's Foundation combats human trafficking.

We continued to Ba Be Lake, where a fantastic day was spent drifting downriver on long boats, passing through an enormous river cave before emerging in a jungle-clad lake.

Due to the success of Rally 2023, we have decided to run the same event in April 2024, with no change to the perfectly balanced itinerary.

Both riders and non-riders are welcome. We stay at several excellent homestays with local people in addition to some delightful resorts and hotels.

Join us in 2024 for a breath-taking experience and help fight the scourge of human trafficking.
