NGẮM NHÌN BỬU TÁN CỦA ĐIỆN THÁI HÒA SAU TRÙNG TU

Được khởi công xây dựng vào tháng 2 năm 1805 và hoàn thành vào tháng 10 cùng năm, điện Thái Hòa là một trong những công trình tiêu biểu của kiến trúc cung đình Huế với kiểu thức “trùng thiềm điệp ốc” (hai bộ mái trên một mặt nền), trang trí pháp lam, trên lợp ngói hoàng lưu ly. Hệ thống 80 chiếc cột bằng gỗ lim được sơn son thếp vàng, trang trí hoa văn rồng mây cùng motif “nhất thi nhất họa” với hàng trăm bài thơ chữ Hán trên các ô hộc ở phần liên ba, đố bản bên trong điện và trên dải cổ diêm ở mái đã đem lại nét duyên dáng cho công trình đồ sộ này. Bên trong điện Thái Hòa, phía trên ngai vàng là bửu tán trang trí 9 con rồng được thếp vàng rực rỡ.
Bửu tán là cái tàng lọng quý báu, che trên ngai vua, tạo nên sự uy nghi và trang trọng của không gian vua ngự. Dưới thời vua Gia Long bửu tán được làm bằng vải gấm. Năm 1923 để chuẩn bị cho lễ “Tứ tuần đại khánh” của mình, vua Khải Định đã cho làm bửu tán bằng gỗ thếp vàng. Mỗi mặt của bửu tán chạm lộng hình hai con rồng chầu mặt vào nhau miệng ngậm chữ “Thọ”, bốn góc chạm hình đầu rồng nhô cao, xung quanh và các góc tạo hình các tua rủ uyển chuyển mềm mại. Người chế tác bức bửu tán này là nghệ nhân Nguyễn Văn Khả. Cảm phục tài năng của người nghệ nhân, vua Khải Định ban cho Nguyễn Văn Khả hàm “Hàn lâm kiểm thảo”, thường gọi là Kiểm Khả.

King Gia Long was born in 1762, his real name was Nguyen P**c Anh (commonly known as Nguyen Anh), and was the founder of the Nguyen Dynasty - the last dynasty in the feudal history of Vietnam. He ascended the throne in 1802 and ruled the country until his death in 1820.

King Gia Long's tomb, also known as Thien Tho Lang, was built in 6 years (1814-1820) and includes many tombs of King Gia Long's royal family. The mausoleum is located in a wild, picturesque mountainous area in Dinh Mon village, Huong Tho commune, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province.

The entire mausoleum complex consists of 42 large and small mountains and hills, in front of the mausoleum stands Dai Thien Tho mountain, behind which are 7 mountains as the back.

This is not only the resting place of the king who founded the Nguyen Dynasty but also a testament to the king's loyal and devoted love for the Queen. Two stone tombs next to each other for hundreds of years represent the bond and companionship during life and even in the afterlife.

Trúc Chỉ is an art form of handcrafted paper-making in the final stage of paper production, allowing artists to create works directly onto the paper mold. Creative ideas, layout patterns, and forms are executed during this process with the influence of water to create thickness and thinness on the paper surface. Subsequently, images and shades become prominent when light passes through; it can also involve the combination of various techniques and materials to create uniqueness and innovation.

Through numerous exhibitions and displays nationwide, as well as during the Hue Traditional Craft Festival, Trúc Chỉ art has been highly regarded. It is a traditional art form that is close to folk culture, rich in craftsmanship and creativity, yet also very sophisticated and refined. The emergence of Trúc Chỉ art is the result of the efforts of artist Phan Hải Bằng and his associates, aiming to establish the concept that: Paper is also art – The paper-making profession is also an art. Tự Đức Tomb, also known as Khiêm Lăng, was built between 1864 and 1867 during the reign of Emperor Tự Đức, who was the fourth emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty. Interestingly, Emperor Tự Đức designed and used the tomb as a retreat during his lifetime, where he could enjoy peaceful reflection, writing poetry, and communing with nature. After his death in 1883, it became his final resting place.

Known for its tranquil, poetic atmosphere, Tự Đức Tomb offers a different kind of experience compared to the grandeur of the other royal tombs. This site reflects the deep sensitivity and love for nature of Emperor Tự Đức, who was known as a poet.
