I firmly believe that kindness can make a difference, and I am always drawn to people who treat others with kindness.

I want to share Tuan's story with you, which is a wonderful example of kindness. Yesterday, Tuan led Marlene and Joshua on a walking tour of the imperial city. Tuan is a history major and one of the first-generation tour guides in Hue since the country opened its doors to visitors in 1995. Many of our tour guides, including me, are still considered "babies" compared to Tuan, and I absolutely respect him for his passion, humor, and kindness toward those who tour with him.

After the tour, Marlene texted me saying how much she enjoyed Tuan's company. Without even asking, Marlene's review helped me understand that Tuan's generosity had touched her when he helped her fix her broken shoe at no cost. Perhaps he did this through one of the many shoe repairers he has befriended over the years; clearly, Tuan is a very popular and well-respected person in Hue.

We don't just provide a service to our guests; we connect with them as friends. This is Amy and her companion touring the Imperial City with Viet Ha Nguyen.
