Three years ago today, we left Vietnam with our two little boys just 1.5 years old, and a strong belief in ourselves to start a new life in Switzerland. Looking back, it might not seem like much on the surface, but I have overcome many challenges. I’ve adapted to a new environment, language, and culture, all while being a mother and taking care of myself. Every day is a step forward, every moment a lesson, and though the road ahead is long, I am proud of what I’ve been through. This journey is not just about changing places but also about growing from within.

2023 has been a journey of completeness, akin to how I crafted my dream book where each page tells a unique story of life.
Throughout this year, I've delved deep into self-discovery, embracing moments of joy and navigating through the darkest of times. I've experienced strength and vulnerability, confidence and emptiness – each emotion contributing to the tapestry of my growth.

In the past twelve months, I've come to realize that not every relationship needs preservation, and sometimes letting go is the best way to find oneself. Yet, there are those we should reconnect, continue with, and initiate anew.

People have come and gone, each leaving an essential piece in the mosaic of my soul. I appreciate every emotion, from happiness to sorrow, as they have guided me to a better understanding of myself. Those who accompanied and supported me, whether in a small or significant way, hold tremendous importance. I am grateful to all!

2023 has been a memorable adventure, there are goals that have been accomplished, there are plans that are still unfinished but I carry its lessons and memories into the new year, 2024.
Cheers to the upcoming year, where we will continue writing our stories and welcoming the wonderful new chapters ahead! 🎉🌟

Vietnamese Bún Chả! 🍲🍢

Xin Chào 🌟I just had the most incredible meal of Bún Chả, and I can't resist sharing this delicious dish with you all! 🍜🤗

Picture this: juicy grilled pork patties and crispy, all sizzling to perfection. And it's really fragrant!!!

But what truly elevates this dish is the dipping sauce – a blend of fish sauce, lime, and just the right amount of chili. It's sweet, tangy, and a little bit spicy – the perfect dance partner for the meats, Vietnamese herbs and rice noodles. 🌶️🍋
For sure I will share with you how to make dipping sauce in a later post 😊.

As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but appreciate the beautiful balance of flavors in Vietnamese cuisine. Bún Chả is not just food; it's a culinary masterpiece, a taste of Vietnam's heart and soul. 🇻🇳❤️

"I’ve been the happiest since I’ve had children.
I’ve also been at my lowest.
I’m a much better version of myself.
I also haven’t always liked what I’ve seen when mirrors have been held up to me.
I’ve never been in more company.
And at times never felt so lonely.
Some days I don’t want to end.
Some days I wish away, oh and the guilt from feeling that when they grow so fast.
I’ve never been so sure of who I’m meant to be.
I’ve never wondered so much who I am.
I’ve never felt closer with my husband.
But at times, I’ve never felt more distant.
I believe in myself, I trust myself.
I’ve questioned myself and doubted myself.
I always want to be better for them.
But I’ve yelled and cried and wished I’d handled certain situations better.
I’ve never loved so hard and so fiercely.
And I’ve never felt so vulnerable.
I’ve never been more broken.
And I’ve never been more complete.
I’ve never smiled so much.
I’ve never cried so much.
I’ve never craved alone time more.
But when I am I always feel like somethings missing, like an arm.
I’ve never been so excited to watch them grow.
And simultaneously wished they’d stay little forever.
Some days I feel like I’ve achieved nothing.
But as I think of them at night, I know I’ve achieved everything.
I’ve never looked forward to so much.
And I’ve also, never looked back.
It’s one beautiful contradiction.
A journey of wrong turns that are probably still right.
And dreams of the future even if you don’t get enough sleep to dream.
Exhaustion but effortless love.
