Our heartfelt condolences go out to everyone affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Port Vila on December 17th. To those who have lost loved ones or whose businesses and livelihoods have been deeply impacted, our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

The owners of Villa Mali were in Port Vila during the earthquake and are grateful to report only minor damages, all of which have now been repaired. We’re ready to welcome our first guests back on January 9th and are open for new bookings.

💔 Important Update 💔

After 5 incredible years as Superhosts on Airbnb, our Villa Mali listing has been removed. Just two days before this, we were awarded Superhost status again, and we’d never received a single complaint—until now.

Over the past month, we’ve reached out multiple times to Airbnb’s Safety and Trust team for clarification about the complaint, but so far, we haven’t received specific details that would allow us to address the issue. As hosts, we always strive to provide a safe and welcoming space, and it’s challenging to improve without clear feedback.

The guests who made the complaint never contacted us during their stay, and they interacted regularly with our staff and their families until the day they left. We’re unsure why the issue was raised after their departure.

We are heartbroken to see our hard work unravel like this. We are still welcoming guests through Booking.com, Stayz, and our own direct booking site at villamalivanuatu.lodgify.com. To those whose bookings were canceled by Airbnb and have already rebooked with us—thank you for your incredible support.

We’re committed to providing a safe and enjoyable stay at Villa Mali, no matter the platform.
