📢 ANNOUNCEMENT

If you're currently on the P&O Pacific Adventure please read.

Though I'm aware the ship is now arriving a day early, I kindly ask that you check your messenger and revert.

I'm happy to keep your bookings as originally booked but in the past, we have had issues with guests not turning up and didn't bother to inform us, and that is very sad as we had to spend extra out of our pockets and pay for the van and driver who waited for you.

Please remember "WE DO NOT HOLD YOUR DEPOSIT" when pre booking.
Appreciate if you can help in communicating well with us to avoid disappointment from our end.

Vanuatu Happy Tours & Transfers wishes to advise its followers that with the continuous increase in pricing with our costs of living, it has led us to increase our prices on our tour packages.
This will be effective as of March 1st 2024.

We have done several advertisements with the current prices on the Cruise Forums, note this will change as well.

For those who already have a tour booked with us please know you won't be paying any difference. Your price REMAINS the same.

Firstly, I am excited to say that Cruise Ships will now resuming their returns to Port Vila. Thank you to our Honourable Minister of Climate Change and all Government Officials supports to have carry out this decision making.

I know a lot of you were looking forward to visit this port but sadly, your itinerary then cancelled due to the damages left by both Judy and Kevin 🌀

Well now that it had been official, we are sending you an invite to book your tour with us if you have not done so.
By doing this will help us re-build what cyclone Judy & Kevin took away from us especially our homes, schools & communities.

We are organising a short visit to a school and a village that we know they are in need. If you are interested in paying a visit to them, please let me know. If you have, any donations you may want to donate them please feel welcome to bring any; locals always appreciate anything.

Here is our Story;

On March 1, 2023 the lives of many people in Port Vila, Vanuatu was change dramatically. A category 4 tropical cyclone named Judy hit the island with extreme force and left a wake of destruction behind her. The devastation was horrific.
Houses were destroyed, there was no power throughout the island of Efate and some areas were without clean water.
But it was not all over.

On Friday March 3, 2023, a mere 2 days later, Tropical Cyclone Kevin, also classified as a category 4, hit the island. With winds over 220km per hour, the aftermath was overwhelming! Vanuatu has been devastated by these two cyclones in just a few days, but the effects will last a lifetime. The struggle is real.

A large number of people rely on food that is grown locally, and many of these food gardens have been decimated! This leaves people living on rice and tuna cans until the crops can be harvested again which could be several months. As a result, the local Mamas who grow this product will have no work or income, which will lead them to fall further into poverty.

Many local houses have been destroyed and are without clean water or power for several weeks to come, most losing their roofs at a minimum. Other dwelling spots have been left empty, with bare spaces of land where houses once stood. Cyclone Judy and Kevin have left the people of Vanuatu with no food, water, power or roofs over their head. The very little that they did have has now gone.

Our heartfelt thank you goes out to France, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji Government for your unending support through this devastated period, extending our thank you to other Pacific Island Countries that I have not mentioned you. Last but not the least, thank you to you as an individual who have contributed in a small way, May the Lord blessed your heart and your home.

We are now on the sixth week after we were hit by the cyclones and I am so thankful to say that VANUATU IS BLESSED.
A drive into town this morning passed the fruit and veggies market (some of you may know and have seen it) is set back with garden food. The market have root crop, greens as well as fruits. So sorry I did not take any photo to add on my post as I was over joyed telling my partner how blessed we were to see this only after few weeks. I will keep you posted with photos later in the coming days.

We now cannot wait to start receiving the Cruise Ships again so you can help us rebuild what Judy & Kevin has taken away from us.
