We are back in operation after Cyclone Pam. Please come and visit us and enjoy everything that beautiful Tanna island has to offer. Iwaru Beach Bungalows is a cluster of traditional Melanesian style bungalows situated on the west coast of Tanna Island. Although we are just south of the airport and Lenakel, you will feel a million miles away as you are surrounded by the ocean, tropical bush and gar

dens. The bungalows are slightly elevated and nestled along the beautiful black beach of Iwaru. This provides you with the advantage to enjoy a cool breeze as you watch the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean. The accommodation is made from all local materials such as Bamboo, local timber and Natangora roof thatching. Bungalows are basic island style and each have private facilities that includes a flushing toilet and shower (cold water at this stage). Philip (snr), Roslyn, Philip (jnr) and their family will be your hosts and many of the community will come to welcome and entertain you with horse riding, weaving and other traditions. Vanuatu is a place of happiness and story telling. You will enjoy a deep sense of community and family here at Iwaru.
