I have recently moved back to the family home where I was born, here in Falefa, Samoa. I met and married my husband in Auckland NZ before heading to Sydney Australia, where we raised our two lovely sons. The recent move back home to Samoa is a dream come true, especially now that I have the opportunity to carry on the legacy of my proud parents Samoan heritage, and traditions representing "Faa Sam

oa" - this is a great opportunity to give something back to our family community by supporting and empowering the next generation to follow in the foot steps of our ancestors. "Respect, Family" Alofa Atu. I'm still learning about the internet and AirBnb, and for the moment I've asked one of my son's Eddie, to help manage this page on my behalf. "You lie on a mat in a cool Samoan hut and look out on the white sand under the high palms and a gentle sea, the black line of reef a mile out with moonlight over everything. And then amongst it all are the loveliest people in the world, moving and dancing like gods and goddesses. It is sheer beauty, so pure it is difficult to breathe it in." - Robert Louis Stevenson

Airbnb Review from James (Auckland, NZ) June 2017

We had a great experience. We were very happy with our decision to stay in a local house in a village rather than at a tourist resort. Senima is a very warm and welcoming host, happy to share her home and tell you about the local culture etc. We got in really late because of the time our flight arrived and were greeted with fresh coconuts with straws to drink the coconut water inside. Very refreshing after our flight from New Zealand and drive from the airport. We got excellent, varied breakfasts with delicious fresh fruit off the trees on her property. The house is quite quirky, in a totally charming way. Be aware there is no hot water - not an issue in Samoa's warm climate but useful to know. Highly recommended.

Airbnb Review from Divina (Florida, US)

Senima did a great job in taking care of us, she welcomed us like we were already family. She took an extra step to get us an anniversary cake and celebrate with us our 25th wedding anniversary, thank you Senima. The garden around the home made it look so beautiful. The place was very clean and well taken care of. We would recommend Senimas place and would stay there again on our next adventure to Samoa.

Airbnb Review from Olivia (NZ), Oct 2016

We absolutely loved our stay at Senima's place in Falefa! She made us feel at home immediately, feed us extremely well with lush breakfasts and homegrown fruit from her garden, and was an excellent tour guide at the same time. The facilities are beautiful, very well looked after and located in a very nice, lush area. Senima is very knowledgeable when it comes to the Samoan culture and we felt like we really got to experience the country, customs and people of Samoa. Thank you so much for having us, we loved staying with you and meeting your friends and family!

Airbnb Review from Mike and Liv (NZ), Aug 2016

The perfect place to spend a few nights and experience Samoan culture in the friendly Falefal village life. There are regular buses to Apia, and only a ten minute journey to Pilau cave pool. By the end of your stay Semina will have you feeling like one of the family.

Airbnb Review from Justin (Hawaii), July 2016

Senima is a great host who takes care of her guests. Her house is secure and clean. She provides a tasty full breakfast. She grows bananas, pineapple, cocoa, ulu, taro. Across the street is a nice place to swim. Senima's is a great find.

Airbnb Review from Josh (Colorado, US) July 2016

We had an absolutely wonderful time with Senima in Samoa. Communication was friendly and easy from start to finish with Eddie, Senima's son. We were picked up from the airport and taken away from any other tourists to the lovely village of Falefa. Senima's house was recently renovated, and the room we had was fantastic. Senima and her helper, Araisa, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We loved chatting with Senima - she told us all about Samoa and the village life. She took us to beaches, the cave pool, other villages, rivers, waterfalls - absolutely incredible and lots of memories made. If you are coming to Samoa and want a true Samoan experience, definitely book this AirBnB. Thank you Senima, Eddie, and Araisa! We can't wait to come back!

Airbnb Review from Rachel (Australia) July 2016

My friends and I had a great stay at Semina's, welcomed with coconuts and enjoyed lovely home cooked breakfasts. Semina's house is in a great village location, and just a short canoe trip away from a remote black sand beach. We enjoyed our spacious rooms and having access to a good kitchen. We'll definitely be back :)

Airbnb Review from Aimee (Australia), June 2016

I have travelled all around the world & never enjoyed staying anywhere as much as I have at Senima's! I was hoping to meet genuine people & experience life in Samoa but I experienced so much more than that. I have never met more caring and beautiful people than Senima and her Family, I adore her Niece who was kind enough to spend the afternoon at Piula Cave pool with me as I was traveling solo. The cave pools are 5 mins away and so are the beautiful Falefa falls. I have never been so relaxed and at peace in my life relaxing in my spacious bedroom with own ensuite and sipping a fresh coconut while wandering around the beautiful plantation out the back. I can not wait to come back to Samoa & see you all again, I will definitely stay longer next time!

Airbnb Review from Barclay (Australia), June 2016

10/10 stay Highly recommend.

Great location if you've hired a car and want a central but adventurous area. Senima made us feel comfortable and safe.

Breakfast was 10/10 and using the kitchen was a great benefit.

Airbnb Review from Vee (London), January 2016

Well this truly was the best decision I made. Several travellers I had met had booked themselves into hotels right beside the airport and there was nothing for them to do. Staying with Senima's bnb was a true organic Samoan experience. Senima and her husband met me at the airport on my arrival and their home is only 40mins drive from Apia. They were both so accommodating and kind and I would recommend staying with them if you're looking for something 'off the beaten track'. I really hope to go back one day!

Airbnb Review from Graham, (UK) September 2015

We stayed for 10 days with the friendly hosts whilst attending the junior commonwealth games. Senima and Monny are a very attentive couple who go out of their way to try and ensure you have a positive experience whilst staying with them and their willingness to share local knowledge of the island with you is very helpful. You are made to feel part of their daily lives and all requests are catered for, it is more than an (english) bnb experience as you share daily experiences with them if that is what you want. Nima provides a wonderful selection of breakfasts with delicious, fresh from the garden fruits; you have the choice to use the kitchen facilities at your leisure. The couple provided transport support when required for our busy schedule of attending the games in Apia although we found the local buses an interesting experience as well. Samoa is a friendly, smiley place where everyone seems happy and the outstanding beauty of the sea, beaches and coastal road make each journey a pleasure to discover. The rooms in the home are clean, light, airy and open and may not be as private as some people may expect but this is real village life experience in Falafe. The home has a relaxing feel to it with some wonderful flowers in the front garden and a mini plantation as a back garden that supplies daily fresh fruit. We had a great time staying here and enjoyed the "all for fun" outlook on life that the hosts share with you.

Airbnb Review from Eve (Australia), June 2015

Senima and Monty were the best hosts. If you want to experience the genuine village atmosphere then a stay at Senima's is the place to be. Seminar took me swimming at a nearby fresh water spring right beside the beach which I would never have found on my own. She walked with me to the local waterfall and explained things about village life. They transported me to the Ferry Terminal to catch my ferry to Savaii. They are very attentive hosts.

Airbnb Review from Robert (Bristol), April 2015

Less a B&B by my previous experiences, and more a homestay, I was immediately made to feel at home with Senima and Monty. Working at the hospital in Apia, it was a reasonable daily commute, but with plenty of very cheap buses to catch, or cars to rent for the stunning coastal drive. I'd initially struggled to settle into such a different country compared to what I'm used to, so Nima's motherly advice, comfortable home and incredibly accommodative hosting was the best I could have wished for during my fortnight's stay. Her attention to detail - a well-stocked en suite, regular fresh bouquets of flowers and good substantial meals - was truly appreciated.I was keen for a real taste of rural Samoa, which I got in abundance - locals and family stopping by to help with the market they've developed, freshly-caught fish from Nima's nephew and all sorts of goodies from the plantation in their back garden.I was shuttled by Monty in his 4x4 on my first and last days which was really appreciated with all my baggage, and they were able to address my changing needs throughout my stay.I would highly recommend Senima's if you want to experience real life in Samoa and have a taste for getting out of the city without compromising on comfort.

Airbnb Review from Dustin (London), Dec 2014

Senima Monty and Cousin Eddie picked me up the airport which is some drive from their place. It was really helpful to get a ride from them from and to the airport, actually they drove me around all the time. I felt like I was at my grandmas or my aunties house. They were always making sure i was comfortable, had enough to eat, offering drinks all the time, making sure i wasnt bored. They are really talkative and engaging but not intrusive and give you intuitively give you space when you want it. They are renovating their house ( but its not messy or noisy the bedrooms, bathrooms and dining room are all finished) so it will be even better in the next few months.
