Let's give a big congratulations to the 30 newly inducted NCOs—and a special surprise inductee, KSGM Won!

On Thursday, 14 November 2024, 2-1 ADA and CTF hosted a memorable NCO Induction Ceremony. We were honored to have CSM Kamaludeen join us for the induction PT and serve as our guest speaker for the event.

As a token of appreciation, CSM Kamaludeen was presented with a surprise gift that was given to a NCO, prepared by a NCO and crafted by a NCO.

This ceremony was a powerful reminder of the dedication, professionalism, and pride that define the NCO Corps. Congratulations to all inductees on achieving this significant milestone in their careers!

The A "Archangels" Battery held a Change of Responsibility ceremony on 17 October 2024, bidding a fond farewell to 1SG Tyler Anderson and welcoming 1SG Jordan Hobbs. We thank 1SG Anderson for his unwavering dedication to the Guardian Battalion and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. At the same time, we warmly welcome 1SG Hobbs to the team.

Guardian Lieutenants and CTLT Cadets conducted conditioning combat PRT by executing a foot march with IOTV up Apsan Mountain in the city of Daegu on 01AUG24. The summer heat tested the mental and physical endurance of every individual but these young leaders stood up to the challenge.

The unit ended the event with an LPD on training management and the BN CMD team bid farewell to the cadets as they prepare to return home.

On 02AUG24, the Guardian Battalion conducted our monthly Battalion run by the NakDong River. The Battalion concluded the run with another iteration of the Guardian challenge. The Bravo/2-1 Blood Hounds came out on top!

Competition brings out the best in all of us.

The unit also learned about the history of the battalion's motto and the significance of the NakDong River area during the Pusan Perimeter defense. This was a critical phase of the Korean War, marked by the "Stand or Die" order issued by General Walton Walker. He famously declared, “There will be no more retreating, withdrawal or readjustment of the lines or any other term you choose." Emphasizing the importance of holding the line against advancing enemy forces. This resolute stance inspired the troops to fight valiantly, knowing that their actions would have lasting implications for the outcome of the conflict and the defense of South Korea. The legacy of their courage continues to resonate within the battalion, reminding future generations of the sacrifices made in the name of duty and honor.
