We get asked a lot of times why Nova Scotia for our cottage? And doesnt Nova Scotia gets lots of snow? Well did you know where our cottage is located, is in what is called the Banana Belt. The southern region “Banana Belt” of Nova Scotia has a lot milder climate compared to the rest of the Provence. That’s not to say we don’t get snow but here are some pictures of the difference from the front door of the cottage and further North in the Provence from the storm that just passed by this weekend. We got just a few inches versus a few feet or more experienced up north. Book now and have a wonderful winter experience without worries of having to dig a path to get out the front door. Sitting in that chair with snow up to your waist does look fun though!

Join us for a special free African Heritage Month film screening, February 15 at 7:00PM here at the Centre.

The Road Taken will take viewers on a ride through history to hear the experiences of Black sleeping-car porters who worked Canada's railways, and how they fought against discrimination.

This event is presented with support from the National Film Board of Canada.

While this is a free event, we encourage those who are able to bring a non-parishable item for the food bank box.
