Golden-headed Quetzal
(Pharomachrus auriceps)

The Golden-headed Quetzal, whose scientific name is is a species of bird in the Trogonidae family and its habitat is in the tropical rainforest in Peru. To be more specific, The Golden-headed Quetzal lives in mountainous forests, humid forests, scrublands, and paramos.

Adult males of the Golden-headed Quetzal are bright green with a golden hue on the head, the belly is bright red, and the beak is yellow and, females are similar but have a dark head, dark bill, and gray breast. Both sexes have a black tail.

The golden-headed Quetzal food consists mainly of fruit, so it is often seen near fruit trees.

¡Un ave HERMOSO que todos quieren ver, pero POCOS PUEDEN! 🐦‍⬛🌳

¿Adivina qué? ¡Tú puedes tener un avistamiento garantizado!

El Quetzal de cabeza dorada, cuyo nombre científico es , es una especie de ave de la familia Trogonidae y su hábitat se encuentra en la selva tropical del Perú. Para ser más específicos, El Quetzal Cabeza Dorada habita en bosques montañosos, bosques húmedos, matorrales y páramos.

Los machos adultos del Quetzal de cabeza dorada son de color verde brillante con un tono dorado en la cabeza, el vientre es de color rojo brillante y el pico es amarillo y las hembras son similares, pero tienen la cabeza oscura, el pico oscuro y el pecho gris. Ambos sexos tienen la cola negra.

La comida del quetzal de cabeza dorada se compone principalmente de frutas, por lo que a menudo se le ve cerca de árboles frutales.

It is a species of aquatic Endemic bird in Peru, which lives at Chinchaycocha Lagoon at the Andean Central Peru.

As we know, the Junin Grebe lost the ability to fly, so they could not able to colonize any other Lagoon. Also, they are in a threatened condition due to the contamination Lagoon from local mining activities.

This species has a thin, pointed beak, reddish eyes, and gray legs. Its back is dark gray and its chest is white. It feeds mainly on fish, diving into the water.

𝐄𝐥 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢́𝐧 🦆
Es una especie de ave acuática endémica del Perú, que vive en Laguna de Chinchaycocha en el centro andino del Perú.

Como sabemos, el Zambullidor Junín perdió la capacidad de volar, por lo que no pudo colonizar ninguna otra Laguna. Además, se encuentran en condición de amenaza debido a la contaminación de la laguna por las actividades mineras locales.

Esta especie tiene un pico delgado y puntiagudo, ojos rojizos y patas grises. Su espalda es de color gris oscuro y su pecho es de color blanco. Se alimenta principalmente de peces, sumergiéndose en el agua.
