Hello again....while sorting out the visitors book at the Cottage we came across this beautiful tribute from Pat's great niece Nigel Ludlow . These two wordsmiths had beautiful soul scratches together. Here's a wee extract from the poem we found. There is more so next time you visit the Cottage have a look in the visitors book. AND don't forget the Orphans Boxing Day Picnic from 11 onwards. Bring your Christmas leftovers and comfortable lounging gear ...rugs, camping gear to chill out under the shade of the comforting trees. Thank you Josephine Ludlow for your IT expertise.

It feels so good to be finishing this week with a lovely story. Oh how this would made our beloved Pat so happy. On Monday Teacher Jae took her beautiful Tuakana Class of students from Waimarama School to Puketitiri. It was a very very special day. They imagined walking in the footsteps of their ancestors, dwarfed by the huge 800 year old trees. The children found lots of mayflies in the stream which means its super healthy as they can only live in clean water and met Lulu the eel. It was also a very special week in NZ, one which Pat and Jae's mother would I am sure have donned their walking boots at hit the road! Memories are made of this. A big thank you to Jae and our kind neighbour Lisa for making this happen.

Hi friends of Puke. Want to share a miracle meeting - still can't believe it. Electrician Peter Judd had an hour's drive to the Bach and arrived on time! He did our long wish list on the same day. We were surprised Peter could get under the house - he reassured us there was enough room for a party - here he is with his happy feet. He had the best attitude and fell in love with our rustic happy place.
