The last stop on our hotel tour, yesterday, was one of our family’s favorite. The Contemporary Resort. I first stayed here when I was 6 years old with my brother and parents back in Dec of 1975. It holds such great memories for me. It went through a complete refurbishment last year with an Incredibles theme and through back to designer Mary Blair (designer of Small World). Throw in the Monirail going right through the building, Chef Mickey’s and plenty of recreation!

Stop number three on our Disney resort tour, was the beautiful Grand Floridian. This beauty is going through a refurbishment and here, I’ll show you an updated room! Refurbishment should be complete by October of this year. Just in time for Holiday trip!

The second stop on the hotel tour yesterday
was Coronado’s Gran Destino Tower. This is a moderate property with a deluxe feel. It has more restaurants, recreation and character than most moderate hotels. Throw in artwork by and inspired by Salvador Dali, and you have a beautiful resort experience.
Did you know that Walt and Salvador were good friends and could only communicate with an interpreter? Who knew!

This afternoon, I was able to tour some of the newly renovated resorts at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. This is the first one, the Yacht Club. Walking distance to Epcot and the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. So many amenities when you stay here! Stay tuned for my other posts with 3 more hotels.
