It's been a very busy and exciting time for me and my family. We welcomed a new grandson and have a granddaughter on the way. We've been experiencing our own kind of magic here at home, but we will be in Walt Disney World very soon for a magical vacation with some of our littles.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by all the information when planning a Disney vacation? Well, I have had several people say, "I want to take my kids, but it's so confusing right now." Yes, it is! Even for those who plan your trips. What is Genie? What is Genie+? What is Lightning Lane? All of these perks are great, but Covid surely brought some extra baggage to the table. If you're feeling overwhelmed, hire a travel planner or travel agent. Most of them are free to use, and they certainly can take the stress away and answer all of your questions. 😊

Walt Disney World's Spaceship Earth at EPCOT! Isn't it beautiful at night?! This is a 15-minute ride that takes guests on a tour through time, demonstrating how advancements in human communication have helped to create the future one step at a time. Adults and kids love this attraction. Not only is it a relaxing and cool break, it is educational and fun. This is a "must do" at EPCOT!

Oh my goodness, y'all! The Disney Cruise Line has just launched their newest ship, and it sailed its maiden voyage on July 14, 2022. It sails from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas year round, and I can't wait to hop on board! You stop in Nassau and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. I have been to both destinations on the Disney Wonder. The Wish has more pools and deck space than any other Disney ship, including a Toy Story Splash Zone for children. Your kids will remember this vacation forever, plus there's plenty of things for parents to experience as well.

Everyone in your family will benefit from a great walking shoe! You will be walking 10,000-25,000 steps per day at one of the parks. Make sure they are not new and have been worn several times. The last thing you want at a Disney park is a blister or sore feet. Another tip is to pack more than one pair. Rain is unpredictable in Florida, so you don't want to wake up and have to put on wet shoes. Don't worry about all of the great food you're going to eat! You will definitely walk it off!

Goofy invites you to Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration this year. The Walt Disney World Resort is slowing navigating its approach to Covid-19 and its safety protocols put in place. Face masks are optional for Guests, but recommended for Guests who are not fully vaccinated in indoor/enclosed locations. Crowds are smaller, and this is a great time to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Want to get the most out of your day at Disney's Magic Kingdom? Don't visit on a Monday! Historically, crowds are lower in the middle of the week for this park. Our family always reserves 2 days for Disney's Magic Kingdom. If you have little ones, two days is perfect for hitting all of your desired attractions.

These HOT temperatures have me wishing I was at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! The park reopened on 1/2/22 after being closed due to Covid-19. It is 1 of 2 Disney water parks (Disney's Blizzard Beach is currently closed at this time.) Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is located at the Walt Disney Resort in Lake Buena Vista. It has something for the entire family from thrilling water slides to snorkeling at Shark's Reef.

When is the best time to visit Walt Disney World? Well, anytime of course. But, try January 2nd until just prior to Presidents' Day week (third Monday in February) or the week after Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week. Also, the week following Thanksgiving weekend until the week prior to Christmas. Hopefully cooler temperatures as well!

Every parent worries about their child getting lost in a theme park. One idea is to attach a luggage tag to their belt loop or to their wrist (whatever works for you) with their name and pertinent information. You can exclude or include anything you want. I used lanyards for my daughters.

Going to Walt Disney World soon? Don't miss Pandora - The World of Avatar located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Be sure to ride Avatar Flight of Passage. It's an exhilarating 3D ride on the back of a mountain banshee. My two oldest grandkids loved it and said it was their favorite!

Take your own water bottle to the parks! There are multiple locations and water fountains to refill throughout the day. It's a smart way to save money and stay hydrated. Just make sure you don't bring glass. 😊
