Lake Natron ---- "Imagine yourself like you are in a movie set with wildlife"

Everyone needs a quick weekend getaway from time to time. Break away from hustle and bustle and embark on Lake Natron adventure in Arusha region. Get to the bumpy roads, river-beds - all the usual joys of travelling in remote area to Lake Natron.

It is by far the best camp in Arusha region due to its location and breathtaking views of Lake Natron and Mt. Oldonyo Lengai will make you enjoy their stunning beauty and amazing landscape. This place has minimal tress, blazing winds at night, cold nights, hot days, immense soda lake, thousands of pink flamingos, running zebras, wilder-beast, sunset on Lengai volcano, superb waterfalls.

This is a special place as it is a singular experience one can enjoy because most do not get to see. You can visit a set of ancient footprints, learn about the geology and have the most mesmerizing view of Mt. Oldonyo Lengai, the only active volcano in Tanzania.

The waterfall is fun also get prepared to get wet and swim in the pool under the cascading falls while monkeys hopped from branch to branch in the tropical thicket on the cliffs above and campsites close to the streams make it an absolute place where you can cool off upon arrival back from walking through a heat haze.

The breakfast and meal are great at Maasai Giraffe Eco Camps and Moivaro Tented Camps. You can enjoy English breakfast, three course dinner, river source tent with natural swimming pool and drinks at sunset. The Maasai guides are all very friendly and helpful.

Imagine yourself like you are in a movie set with wildlife coming down to drink at the natural spring that gurgles past the campsite. Zebra, giraffe, wilder-beast and many more of the local wildlife popped in and out throughout the day making it a surreal experience that you can watch from our

OLDUVAI GORGE - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wonderful mid-stop camp.

It is a fabulous and the gorge is like nowhere else on the planet. It is definitely remote with a nice picnic area overlooking the gorge and good bird viewing. You will enjoy a special meal plus the sunrise and sunset superb view, with new buildings installed and the new museum is open it is unquestionably stunning and huge compared to 13 years ago. You might think of staying longer and go around to see aspect of the gorge or just sit and look out over the gorge and think about life and the universe and the deep history of this place. It is quite educational and a little lecture you get is simply helpful.

This place will absolutely exceed your expectation.

Ngurdoto Crater -- Unbelievable Location --- referenced as “A Small Ngorongoro Crater”

If you have a short visit to Tanzania, Ngurdoto Crater is a great way to see big 5 animals. This place is amazing and calm and it looks like a mini ngorongoro crater. It is simply a volcanic crater in Arusha Region with a crater of about 3.6 km in diameter and a 100 meters wide. It has a highest concentration of game and the natural beauty is unforgettable. One might be able to sight lions, cats, elephants, rhino, hippopotamus and several others like zebras and wildebeests.

A Great Combo - The Snake Park, the Masai Museum and Camping

Visit Snake Park as a weekend getaway or a quick stop while going to National Parks or coming from the National Park. It is small, so you likely will not spend more than an hour in the park itself although you have options to camp or use available hostels for a night or so.
It is more than seeing the snakes, reptiles, birds and learning their characteristics. Even have to hold a snake! Highly educational with a personal guide who is knowledgeable and can answer your questions precisely. The park has many snakes, all found in Tanzania, as well as some crocodiles, monitor lizards, tortoises, and rehabilitating injured birds of prey. Opposite the reception, one can learn a lot about the Masai way of life from building their houses. Bearing of children, slaughtering of cows, Moran and Ngariba. They also share the tools often used in day-to-day life, be sure to learn about the snake bite clinic, too. Several huts allow one to purchase beaded shoes or just dress up in Masai wear and snap a photo for a small fee. A great experience for anyone with a short stay or long stay in Arusha. Have a nice setup here for campers with good rooms available too. Great bar area and you can kill time here and enjoy your stay.

HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI IN THE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
The trip starts with an early picked up around 4:30am for a sunrise flight for about 1 to 1.5 hours followed by champagne and breakfast. It is around 200-300 feet high; an incredible excursion provides a different perspective of Serengeti National Park! Both low and high altitude. There is a beautiful view of the sunrise over the horizon up in the air and you can spot several animals including lions and elephants in the entire “drift”. You can also have multiple selfies for a memorable trip. The champagne and bush breakfast are excellent. Where else can you have breakfast outdoors and see elephants and lions less than 100 yards away? This is a must do when it comes to safari.

A Must stop on your trip to Tanzania!!!
Great spot for visitors, free entrance. The cultural center is a massive exhibit of art and handiwork from all over the country. They have large collection from East Africa, also from some other African countries. They have done good work in collection of arts and handicrafts. Their Tanzanite collection is excellent. Good effort to encourage African art works. You can spend hours here http://www.culturalheritage.co.tz/
