ver from the cities of Union of fayhaa Municipalities ( Tripoli , Badawi , Al Mina) using the latest machinery and equipment in order to get a clean environment and are always updating their daily work through following up taking into account the regulations and applicable laws in the territories and cities that it cost to operate , with the benefit that the company holds a certificate of international quality management projects with the number ISO 9001/2000. It began working in Lebanon exclusively in the cities of Union of fayhaa Municipalities (Tripoli – Al Mina - Badawi) ever since 2001 it has prepared a timely and complete comprehensive plan that includes the following activities:
1 – Street Sweeping.
2 – Collection and Waste deportation.
3 – Organizing a plan to rinse the roads in summer and approval by the Ittihad.
4 – Poster Removal according to a time schedule by coordinating with the municipalities. Work has continued during the period of five years on a continuing period knowing that the city was expanding and the work of the company had to be developed, but each time it requested development the Union of fayhaa Municipalities promises a new tender and especially that the constructural evolution and demographic distribution and expansion of the area has increased since 2006 and led to the increase of the length of roads and areas to be cleaned in the same year 25% of the area of Union of fayhaa Municipalities in 2001. On 22/9/2007 employment contract has ended and the company was asked to continue to operate after the failure of previous tender sessions and remained working according to contract requirements of 2001 until the end of 2007, which affected the company's productivity and work development and until the issuance of the decision to renew the contract by the Council of ministers in accordance with the requirements of previous amendment taking into consideration the account of high cost living and the evolution of the fuel prices and the achievement of a new fleet of machinery, equipment and work hygiene accessories, forcing the company to increase the number of its workers and an agreement with the Union of fayhaa Municipalities has been made on the value of the additional work. The company continues to pursue its work even in developed areas, which increased the streets and spaces of more than 40% in the cities than it was in 2001 and cities are still expanding, causing the company to increase the work of the workers in the operations department to only 500 workers till 09/22/2013 after the Council of ministers decided on an extension of the pre-requisites of the contract and the old conditions, taking into account the additional work of:
- Working in the new developed areas.
- Cleaning Abu Ali river. And since the company is working without a contract extension in hope that the Union of fayhaa Municipalities makes one of options either holding a hearing assignment or offering a contract extension and taking into consideration the securing of some work mechanisms and containers and several mailings were sent to the Union of fayhaa Municipalities regarding this matter. Despite the obstacles especially in big places and populated cities, actions were required by activating the cleaning work with the support of the municipalities and civil society organizations to monitor and guide and educate citizens and urged them to comply with the instructions issued by public and private institutions concerned with cleaning, some examples (abiding to the time of throwing waste in containers / lay waste bags inside sealed and placed inside containers ... ) and in order for that to succeed we must fully coordinate with municipalities to implement the plan and construct a committee of supervisors from the municipality and the company and with the support of the police to monitor the work and organize reports against violators and prosecute and suppress the recurrence of violations , all in conjunction with the guidance and awareness campaigns and the media for a long time. Proceeding from the saying that cleaning requires three basic elements:
- The Culture of Cleaning: is a permanent work and sustainable in all associations, schools, colleges, universities and private companies and public education and household behavior until it becomes normally for the young and adult, and by coordinating with some NGOs and Union of fayhaa Municipalities we educate and guide the activities in a sustainable manner, but the circumstances of the country and the nature of the contract limits the continuation of the activity.
- Cleaning Authority: dependant by the public sector so that they can be assigned to a security group to monitor and prohibit violations of the citizen for instruction and laws relating to cleaning.
- Work Cleaning: mandating the management of the company, this has been agreed to terms with to carry out cleaning so that they will clean up the streets. The failure of law enforcement authorities cleaning and failure of suppression and penalizing citizens and fined when they commit offenses remains the main reason for dirty streets permanently , although the company took into consideration this case with a plan of action to address these flaws by placing work teams on the roads and the main city center and places of archaeological and tourist markets and monitor the work of this team permanently in order to maintain the character of the proper city. The company is working on the implementation of plans required through the development of a plan for the application of GIS (geographic information system) and a specific program named ARC VIEW 9.1 and following the detailed maps of all work and imperatives required. Last but not least, the success of the Action Plan requires the absolute and continuous cooperation with municipalities and citizens alike to this project to be reflected positively on public health and hygiene and the common interest of the country.
