We’ve just returned from a fantastic long weekend away in the BushMAN. If you have a day or two it’s worth heading to see the
Condamine River region , just East of Warwick, QLD. We camped for two nights at Koreelah National Park campground ⛺️ a really beautiful spot with just 8 sites right next to a pretty creek. You definitely need to book online but great value at $12.50/night. A lazy day by the fire, reading, eating and hiking the short distance to the gorge.
Today we took the scenic route toward home along the Condamine River Road, with 14 river crossings and some mildly adventurous 4 wheel driving. Pretty easy in the BushMAN though suitable for 4wD vehicles only.

This is our camping spot in October last year, was a great mini weekend getaway. ⛺️ which is about all we seem to be able to fit at the moment. Life is so busy but just a couple of nights away in the Bushman is an enough of an escape to get us back focused on farm work.

I know there are a lot of our followers that will feel the same way as we do, we can’t let our guard down, cats kill for fun and kill 50 animals a night, we must continue to control them.

Give me a kitchen, anywhere outdoors (currently camping at Carnarvon Gorge) and I’m in my element.

This is me cooking a curry on our motor home’s pull-out bbq drawer. It’s a cracker of a set up and the curry, eaten by the campfire 🔥 with a good glass of red, wasn’t too bad either! 🔥👩‍🌾😋🍷

If we had a camera last night we would have looked much like this, every thing had to be taken out of the garage to get the spare wheel out. Our system is different and not as bad as this but still difficult especially in the Dark.

Driver training for us both. On road, off road, tyre change, winching and much more. Two days packed with new information and experiences. Thanks to Don McCoole from Commander Training for his expert tuition and practical drive exercises.

Finished with a real live “flat tyre change” on the way home!
Two hours on the side of the road, changing the rear right wheel in the dark. It was a truck driving skill we didn’t think we would have to put into practice quite so soon after learning it! 😳👍🏻
Alan is amazing in this kind of difficult mechanical dilemma, he can problem solve on the fly and with limited tools. I don’t make a bad apprentice either it seems.

And we are off on a short maiden voyage in The BushMAN , our brand new super capable SLRV expedition motor home. We are looking forward to a few days in the bush , exploring all the bells and whistles of our new beast!

Our beloved Aussie Bushman motor home has been SOLD!

Yes you heard right! Our off-road beast has driven off to a new home, a new owner, Steve, and to a new life of adventure.

Join us in wishing Steve the very best of life on the road and if you should ever see the original Aussie Bushman in your travels, please stop and say ‘gidday’.

The second big announcement will follow very soon, so stay tuned, here on this same page.
Expect amongst other things, a slight name change and a whole new look because there are exciting things afoot!
