Obsidian Training Solutions was formed in 2013 in order to link both training providers and employers together and to source the funding employers require to upskill their existing staff or to train and recruit new staff such as apprentices and even graduates. Having gained many years’ experience with a national training provider and a regional training provider in apprenticeships, work based learning and employer engagement we have the knowledge and experience needed to bridge the gap between employers and funding for training. Obsidian Training Solutions not only source the funding on behalf of employers, but we also take responsibility to ensure that the training providers we work with all provide quality training, have good OFSTED grades and provide outstanding leadership and management to their staff. We also carry out the necessary checks to ensure all staff they employ are enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) checked and meet the all the criteria in areas such as Health & Safety, Safeguarding (including the new extremism & radicalisation programme PREVENT), Equality & Diversity and Employment Rights & Responsibilities. Likewise Obsidian Training Solutions also work with employers on behalf of training providers and carry out the necessary Health & Safety site assessments, and ensure that all the insurance policies such as Employers Liability and Public Liability are in place and up to date.
