Another successful adoption home for Mathilda who is 8 years old and retired as a sled dog. She is enjoying the house pet life and being one of the best friend of Kassandra! Sled dogs are great workers and turn out as really good pet for their retirement! We are really concerned about the well care of our dogs and where they go after their working time and it is always nice to keep in touch with their new owner! Thanks to Kassandra!

Enodah kennel dog superstar BILOUTE (The Captain!!) enjoying time even through the pandemic doing the Pierre-Lavoie challenge virtually; stage #4: all dressed up!

The Pierre Lavoie Grand Challenge Course targets mainly sedentary young people in order to get them to change their lifestyle. In addition, it is designed to stimulate team spirit and camaraderie, making it a unifying project that will develop in young people a strong sense of belonging to their environment.

Hi Folks! We do apologize to haven’t been really active on Facebook recently! Due to covid-19, we did shut down the season earlier and drive the dogs back home to Quebec. It has been a very busy time and a lot of kilometers (6000!! 😲) . This big journey requires a lot of organization, but now the dogs are ready to enjoy summer vacations with their mom!! We keep in touch 🐕

!! Adoption Notice !!

Once of our snow stars, Failsafe, is ready for retirement. He's worked as a leader for Cynthia, Enodah Kennel Manager for several years, "like a beast!" He celebrates his 7th birthday this August and we are looking for the right fit for our big boy.

Failsafe is neutered, and like all our snow stars, has up to date vaccinations and de-worming. We're currently transitioning him to the indoor "pet" lifestyle and it hasnt taken much convincing! He's a little shy until he gets to know you, but once you're friends, his goofy nature will shine through! He's great off-leash and with other dogs; he's never been to town, or around cats, but he's mature and respectful.

If you're wondering why its time for Failsafe to enjoy retirement... he works himself a little *too* hard, and on our shorter tours he gets impatient, which leads to being tangled and potential injuries. He had a small knee problem from this earlier in the winter, and as it's all healed up, we decided he should be hanging out on the couch and enjoying walks with his new family, instead of stopping and starting on the trail for guests all the time.

We're looking for a forever home for Failsafe, and will be checking out his new digs quite thoroughly to make sure he gets only what he deserves: the best!

Keeping warm on those cold winter nights... all of our snow stars get happily rotated through the staff sleeping quarters throughout the season!

Though they have dense fur coats and thick beds of straw in their insulated houses, of course our huskies enjoy time indoors with us too. Its hard to tell who enjoys the cuddles more...

Here we see the lucky Paisley and Attla resting up for another day on the trail, and Sexy getting ready for a movie in bed!

We had a nice day cruising the trails with our snow stars, nice and warm: +1 º Celsius. Thank you to our guests who came out and understood that we need the dogs cooling down by taking longer breaks! Dogs need to ajuste to this sudden Cuba weather. ☀️

A big part of our sled dog care is foot care. Our snow stars have precious paws and we work hard to keep them that way! 🐾

Fluctuating temperatures, changing snow consistency, and simple regular sweating from their feet takes a toll as they trot along the trail ❄

Boots and homemade cream are a great way to alleviate foot stress and prevent web cracks. We carefully craft a mixture including beeswax, Vitamin E, lanolin, tea tree oil, aloe vera and polysporin to protect those hard-working paws

Our cold snap seems to be on the way out folks!! A balmy -29 today, make the most of it like our snow stars are! 🐾 💕

Hammer will still be seen sporting a jacket because he's one of our older crew, combined with a shorter natural coat, he benefits from the extra protection plus he pulls off that color oh-so-well, wouldn't you agree?

It's puppy playtime! Our beautiful, fast-growing little snowballs are now 3 months old and readily exploring the winter wonderland we love to call home. Free-running together is a great way to encourage healthy pack mentality, promotes good physicality, and of course, creating a bond of trust with our future team mates!
