When the 5yr old kid in the house finds a box and the dog goes looking for his bed... and he found it, just isn't sure how he feels about it (he hopped in himself and gave me a confused look but lay down anyway). 😂
Lucky he just accepts the random things the small humans do in the house.
If this isn't the most comfortable and warmest pooch getting to chill, all curled up in the warmth of the sun here every morning while mum works...

Right next to a great walking track along Kedron Brook Creek... we enjoyed a 5km parkrun with the pups so perfect place for pup to refuel after.

Had a lovely weekend at Yarramalong Camping Ground near Boonah.
Very dog and family friendly.
Nice big campsites, a big brasier to have a fire - you will need to take your own kindle and fire starters but you can purchase a wheelbarrow of wood from their little kiosk onsite along with bags of ice.
A beautiful fresh creek to swim in right near the camp ground. There are toilet and shower facilities - don't expect 4 or 5 star rating but very impressed with how clean they kept them and the water could get quite hot if you don't like a cold shower.
They also had big sink basins to do your dishes in with hot water - but take your solar panels as there is no electricity, though it was enjoyable being technology free.
Make sure you stay up and get the opportunity to look at the stars - there is hardly any city lights so the stars were amazing! If you want to find somewhere local to eat, the local brewery is nice and the deck is dog friendly, though book in advance as it books out very fast.
We are definitely keen to return again one day and our boy Asher had such a great time running around and swimming he slept for 2 days after.
Hi - I want to finally introduce you to who is behind Dog Friendly QLD.
My name is Jay and this is my boy Asher.
I wasn't able to introduce myself earlier as I worked in government and the rules for posting on social media are quite strict.
I now work for a private organisation and wanted to share Asher's story.
Asher is a 5 year old Kelpie x Jack Russel. I got Asher as a rescue dog when he was 6 months of age. I was looking for a Jack Russel x Maltese Terrier because I was moving into a unit with my Mini Fox Terrier, Albert, who was 12yrs old at the time and needed a friend. 6 months earlier our other little Fox Terrier who Albert grew up with had passed away and you could tell Albert needed a pick-me-up and I have seen puppies bring a whole new life to an old dog.
I was excited to stumble across an add on one of the rescue dog sites with Asher... apparently a Jack Russel x Maltese Terrier x Tibetan Spaniel. He was in Mackay so I was introduced to him over a video call. I fell in love straight away and was ready to adopt him - at the time his name was Mac.
I flew him down from Mackay and couldn't wait to meet him... but boy did we get a surprise when our new boy arrived...

at Nundah is a great bar fo you and your furry friend. The food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and the pups are given water and a rug to curl up on in winter while the humans enjoy their food and bevos.
The staff are very welcoming with the bar winning best bar in Brisbane.
A must go to!

Plenty of deck space for you and pooch. They sell homemade dog biscuits made out of natural products which our boy absol loved.
Food was delicious and so was the coffee and matcha lattes. Lots of great options to choose from.
They also do kids birthday cakes and very kid friendly.

Enjoyed a delicious brekky at Kedron.
The food was great and so was the coffee.
Big outdoor eating area for you and pup though it can get busy so get in early.
There is QR codes on the table to order your food and beverages so you don't have to worry about how to leave pooch outside while you go in to order.
This show looks fun for all the dog lovers out there.
Please note you cannot take your dog with you though.

Fitz + Potts at Nundah is a great bar for you & your furry friend. Fantastic food and us dogs got given water and our own rugs to relax while the humans could choose from delicious foods and bevos. The staff were so friendly and welcoming with winning best bar in Brisbane. A must go to!
Fish on Flinders at Sandgate Waterfront across the road from Sandgate pool. Go for a lovely walk along Sandgate/ Brighton Foreshore then enjoy some fish and chips. Nice undercover area to relax with water bowls available for your pooch.
So many tracks for us puppies to venture on with lots of great smells and things to see at Mount Cootha. Also plenty of picnic spaces and we relaxed with treats and water at Grey Gum Picnic area.
