Luminosity Luminosity is an architectural lighting design firm focused on lighting and daylighting for the interior and exterior environment.

Our creative team has varied backgrounds in lighting design, architecture, perception, and photography, all of which connect back to light. We have international experience on an array of award winning projects, including museums, concert halls, civic monuments, hospitality, private residences, and master planning. Our design approach aims to enrich the architectural form and positively impact the

visual environment. We appreciate both the artistic spirit and technical precision necessary for a successful lighting design, but realize the importance of listening to our client’s vision, as we take that inspiration and make it a reality. As technology progresses, we incorporate these advancements into our design to ensure we achieve the client’s sustainable and economic goals.

As part of our Sustaining Communities program, Luminosity recently volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans. The project was a new residence built for a local veteran. We enjoyed working on the interior doors + painting for the residence. The best part is they were able to move in before Thanksgiving!

Light is necessary in our everyday lives, but humans aren't the only ones who rely on illuminance. Bioluminescence is a process through which certain animals or organisms produce light. The reasoning for this light production varies between species. Still, whether to attract prey, confuse predators, or attract a mate, bioluminescence is essential for the survival of creatures, both land and sea.

We look forward to the next chapter and hope to make an impact in 2024.

Recently, we were inspired by colleagues at the IALD conference in Banff. But our brief escape into the Canadian Rockies truly refreshed our outlook for the upcoming year.
