Costa Rica is known for its abundance of tropical fruits. There are many different types of fruits grown in Costa Rica, including passion fruits such as maracuya and granadilla, dragon fruit or pitahaya, guanabana or soursop, marañón or cashew apple, capulin cherry, jocotes, and mamon chino among others [1][2][3][4][5].

Costa Rica has numerous beaches that are great for families. According to [The Family Vacation Guide][1], some of the best beaches in Costa Rica for families include Playa Samara, Playa Hermosa, Playa Santa Teresa, Playa Conchal, Manuel Antonio, Jaco, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Tambor, Playa Tortuguero, Playa Blanca, Playa Flamingo, and Playa Tamarindo. Another source, [Two Weeks in Costa Rica][2], recommends Samara for families due to its wide cove with smaller waves that are perfect for swimming, and nearby tranquil beach Playa Carrillo, a favorite spot among locals. Playa Hermosa in Guanacaste Providence is also recommended by [Creekside Escapes][3] for its pool-like, child-friendly waters, and proximity to the international airport in Liberia.

If you've not been to see the turtles nesting you have missed out on an amazing experience. This is worth the 4am wake up call. To see the sunrise over the beach and the turtles is magnificent! This is the Riu in Guanacaste. Beautiful and right on the beach. The buffet is good...a buffet...but the specialty restaurants are awesome! Highly recommend the chocolate martini at the pool bar.

One of my favorite spots. This was taken at Father Rooster's which is at Father Rooster Restaurant - Playa Ocotal. They have a fabulous menu and great cocktails and drinks. This is my fav CR drink Watermelon Water sin Azucar. It is a great spot to unwind and take in the view. I have been told there is snorkeling off shore. Has anyone been snorkeling there and could give a report of what they were able to see?

Turtles...Turtles...and more Turtles. This is an amazing look into the hatching of the turtles in Costa Rica. Located at Playa Junquillal this is more of a hatching and watching and learning as they are working to protect the eggs. Don't miss this project and this beach!

If your a foodie....and who isn't....A hidden gem in Liberia Costa Rica. This is a food truck theme restaurant. Fun atmosphere. You have to keep a sharp eye out. Just across from the park. It is tucked between two businesses. Loved the food. Perfect for a quick lunch. El Callejero Foodtruck

This is Punta Islita in Guanacaste Costa Rica. The road may be gravel and a bit curvy, but this is another Costa Rica amazing a beautiful view. This picture was taken just past the resort on the way out of town toward Corzallita Beach. Costa Rica beaches are public. This beach has the darker to black sand and many fish from the rocks. A great place to spend the day and you can eat at the beach restaurant that is part of the resort.

Looking for a quick respit with a cool drink at the beach or a great meal? We love Father Roosters in Ocotal just near Playa Coco which is not far from the Liberia Airport. You can see the islands from here including the one that hosts the famous Four Season's Resort. On a clear day if you squint...you may be able to see Nicaragua! It is worth the drive off the main highway. Not really a swimming beach but wading and playing in the water should be fine. Lots of fun boats moored in the water offshore. If you are looking for some of your favorite foods from home you will be pleased if you shop at https://automercado.cr/ Automercado is a bit like and They have a wine selection, cheeses, fabulous produce and all kinds of items for your next party or . They have a good selection of breads, specialty meats and you may find your personal items as well. I am not as crazy about their freezer section as I like pricesmart better for these items, but if your looking for something you can't find look here. Happy Shopping.

Where's you OM? Mine is in Costa Rica. Other than India no country has more Yoga per capita than Costa Rica. (That is my made up statistic...lol) But we all love it. Whether on the beach or at a studio it seems better and calmer here in Costa Rica. My favorite experience was with Amba and Don at the Nosara Yoga Institute. This is now known as Bodi Tree. Don't miss going there and at least touring the grounds. They have an amazing yoga platform with a view to die for.

Girls just wanna have fun! In Costa Rica whether you just coming for a few days or a lifetime you can have your best life there! There are so many wonderful places. My tip? Decide what kind of place you want.....essentially are you a country mouse.....a city mouse....or a beach mouse? The choice was easy for me when I asked these questions. What kind of mouse do you think you are? Maybe I should have used sloth?
