Devil's Bathtub. While hikes are often about the destination (& this was no exception), the trail leading out and back is a lot of fun. We hiked through 21 stream crossings and along some pretty tight rock ledges. Hopping across stones and rocks to keep our feet dry was a new challenge for us and definitely kept things interesting.

Put this trail on your list if your near Duffield, VA. It's a little hard to find but worth the search. We suggest going early on a weekday and parking in the lot down the street and walking in.

While re-adjusting to life on the road was a little stressful for them the first few days, (for all of us really) taking them hiking was a big help. Nothing makes these two happier than getting out & exploring a new trail 🐕‍🦺🐾🏞️.

Wrapping up our time by the lake and grinding getting ready to hit the road again in a couple weeks.

This lil bubble we've been living in has been amazing but the road is calling 🛣️🚌, it's time.

Took a family hike today, working on converting more of the fam into hikers. So did we take a nice, leisurely stroll? Did we take an easy, short trail?

Of course not, I (Ashley) was in charge 😂. We go big around here. So proud of these kiddos who tackled 6.5 miles of a difficult trail like champs and want to go again.

Keeping busy learning some new DIY skills and working on a few outdoor projects for our neighbors. Co****le boards, boat racks and some fairly indestructible bear 🐻 boxes.

Now if only we could figure out a way to fit a shop and all of these tools in Wanda 🤔

to one of the last National Parks we visited, Dry Tortugas. 70 miles west of Key West, seemingly dropped in the middle of the ocean the island has a huge fort made with over 16 million bricks. But after spending 30 years building it, the fort was abandoned -never finished or even armed. What a waste!

We miss traveling and exploring our National Parks so much. Hoping to check a few more off our list soon 🤞.

Shades of Death Trail. Despite it's name, nothing too ominous about this hike. We always get a kick out of trail names and wonder who picked them and why. Some seem fitting, some make no sense.

The best solution we've come up with for dealing with our quarantine crazy is simple...GET OUTSIDE. A walk, a hike, a run, a boat ride, a campfire, or some outdoor cocktails make all the difference.

1st time out on the lake with the dogs was a success! 3 🐶, 3 people on 1 small boat 🚣. It was quite an adventure. They were very curious about the water, very happy to be cruisin' and we only had one jumper 😜.

Hayley went overboard chasing a 🐟. She quickly discovered that she cannot in fact run on water. Good news, she swims great and after her initial panic she seemed pretty pleased with herself, wanting to go back in. Maybe we have a water dog after all 🐾.

Proud day for us! We're officially Junior Rangers with 😆. While typically for kids, Kevin discovered that there is no age limit, so obviously we had to do it.

To become a junior ranger you have to complete an activity book for the park you're in: go on a hike, attend a ranger program, draw, learn about the wildlife & history of the park, and pick up some litter to keep the park clean.

We had a lot of fun completing our book while exploring . It's an easy way to get more involved and learn a little more about the park. And after taking our oath, we even got these fancy badges (which Kevin proudly wore all day 🤣)
