Hi beautiful ladies!
This post is dedicated to all the women divers who want to combine adventure with education. For those of you who have had the chance to dive or join me on a trip, you know how much I love talking about and teaching fish identification!
This upcoming trip is a dream come true for me. Iâve been dreaming of this for a long time, and now itâs finally happening. Iâve partnered with my dear friend and fellow ocean lover, Rianne PoessĂ©, to run our first-ever women-only Liveaboard trip to the Solomon Islands from 5-15 September 2025 - GOSH!!!
The Solomon Islands is my absolute favorite destination in the world, home to all my favorite fish, including the Flashlight Fish, Paddlefin Cardinalfish, and all the different species of anemone fish that Iâve missed so much. I want to share this incredible experience with adventurous, fish-loving female divers who are eager to learn and explore alongside me.
To secure the boat, we need at least 10 ladies signed up by the end of July. To make it even more enticing, weâre offering a special 15% discount for those who sign up by the end of this month.
I am beyond excited to return to the Solomons with some of my most enthusiastic fellow divers. Letâs embark on this epic adventure together!

The famous Japanese Battleship Nagato in Bikini Atoll. It was the only Japanese battleship to have survived World War II. In mid-1946, the ship was a target for nuclear weapon tests during Operation Crossroads. She survived the first test with little damage, but was sunk by the second. These are the 16 inch guns mounted on the stern.

In the vast expanse of the ocean, itâs easy to overlook the small wonders that dwell beneath the waves. Yet, amidst the bustling marine life, the pygmy seahorse emerges as a true marvel of the sea. With its minuscule size and remarkable camouflage, barely larger than a grain of rice, it clings delicately to its coral perch, almost invisible to the untrained eye.
This tiny creature, hidden within the intricate patterns of its coral home, never fails to astonish those fortunate enough to encounter it.
At first glance, coral reefs may appear to be static structures, but they are bustling metropolises teeming with life. Corals are actually colonies of tiny animals called polyps, which secrete calcium carbonate to build intricate limestone skeletons. Over time, these skeletons accumulate, forming the diverse structures we recognize as coral reefs.
