Little known to English tourists, La Chartreuse offers the authentic alpine experience. La Grange is situated just a short distance from the spectacular Cirque de St. Même with it’s 300 metre high cliffs and tumbling waterfalls. Pierre d'Entremont, the local town, is 5 kms distance and has a wide range of shops including an organic butchers, a superb cheese shop, a well-stocked mini supermarket, two cash machines, a post office and petrol station . Enjoy the stunning scenery, superb walking, mountain biking/winter skiing, snow shoe tours and other mountain sports. Children’s activities are also available as are quiet visits to the Carthusian Monastery and other sites of artistic and cultural interest.
